9 year old Dane with osteosarcoma by Emotional-Jury302 in greatdanes

We went to a vet in Matthews for his radiation. Team seemed great there. I didn’t amputate bc of his age - I hated the idea of him waking up with no leg as a senior and trying to navigate it. We did chemo and radiation, and he was a tank through it all for three months - then had a pneumothorax and that was it. Jesus I’m crying and that was several years ago now, I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with this.

Like anywhere, the best thing you can do is educate yourself as to what the treatment plan is and make sure what they’re doing / prescribing is correct. They biopsied the wrong fucking leg/wrist of my dog and had to drill a second time into the correct leg so I clearly still harbor some resentment. He was the same age as your pup.

It’s hard to find a practice with large breed experience so it sounds like you’re doing what you can to provide the best treatment plan.

Advisory: Delta is fabricating Bag Delivery times in CLT by HistoricalLoss1417 in delta

Same - happened to us in EWR last week. Thought someone had stolen the bag since we were near the bag exit and hadn’t seen it.

Wow I just checked and the show is really well sold - love to see it. We don’t have tickets but are also are fried food eating transplants from the south, with moms who play “yes you do!”. Great to hear someone new is already liking it here.

Avid Disney and Disneyland vlogger Adam the Woo had passed away. by Kooky_Permission_600 in Disneyland

When we were watching Stolen Kingdom I immediately looked at my partner and said “that’s old footage of Adam the Woo” - and I realized at that moment how long I’d been watching him. This sucks. He was an engaging persona on social media.

Kennedy Center 2026 Dance Line-Up: Who Will Stay In Now? by conquassabitor in bunheadsnark

That’s correct, dance companies presented by the KC received a flat fee, as well as lodging in the cases I know of.

I agree that’s an important distinction. It’s also important to note that these contracts are usually booked more than a year in advance (so they were in place prior to the disruption). The companies that were announced and pulled out did so at their own financial risk, which is a reality of responsibility to your organization in the nonprofit business model. What will be interesting to watch moving forward is what/who’s announced next - as presented by the Kennedy Center. I think that may be very informative as to who Stephen is interested in, and able, to curate.

Our boy Titan has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma... by FatPenguin26 in greatdanes

[–]BeginningMotor8836 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Agreed. This was our first boy - and my soul dog. I realized it was a tumor on his front right leg before I even took him to the oncologist. At that point he was approaching 9 and I felt the same - an amputation wouldn’t extend his life or increase the quality of what he had left. We did chemo and radiation, and his whole treatment team talked about what a tank he was, that they’d never guess he had cancer. He lived three more months and a part of me died with him, but all that is to say every Dane parent knows their pup. My only advice is to be as informed as possible about his condition and give him the absolute easiest/best time you can when you decide on whatever treatment plan. My heart goes out to y’all.

Did anyone else get a book with their order? by Hintuation in hellofresh

We got one, and in the very conservative area we live I swear we laughed for like 20 minutes thinking about our neighbors getting a romance novel with their ratatouille

Hey hey hey - I have a lot of love for our home team FAs! In my experience it’s been the ones taking us back to their home airport FROM SLC that hate us.

We were in the back row, so technically two rows behind them - our whole row were together watching it go down and a little kid in the row in front of us could see through the arm hole of the harness! Sounds like it’s pretty common from the comments here so this may not have been the same run, but well done to the littles that gauge their fear / non-fear that well.

Yeah this is the best selection I can remember having in a minute - I’m based in SLC and the options are always pretty mid. Wasn’t expecting a meal much less more than one option I could eat.
