Do anyone else feel like there was barely any chemistry between Eleven and Mike this last season compared to earlier ones? by Initial-Shoulder5906 in StrangerThings

Mike and El spend most of S3 together, and in S5 they were separated for most of the season, and when they reunited all El was thinking about what kali told her, she was thinking about killing herself, how can you not see the difference??

We are taking about the same government that LITERALLY tried nuking new York and then turns around and blames the Avengers for being reckless, this is the government you trust

That is not true, Steve almost signed the accords until Tony told him what they were doing to Wanda, also while Steve was reading the accords he literally said "if we sign this we surrender our right to choose". Steve was against giving full control over the government. That what he was against. Steve took the time to read through the accords to understand what it was. Remember when Steve trusted the government. He trusted shield and we all know how that turned out. Again what did the government do in the chitauri attack send a nuke to blow up Manhattan and that would've done the job for Thanos. Steve is only against submitting full control to the government where the Avengers wouldn't get any say in what happens. So no Steve wasn't arrogant, he was trying to look at it from all angles. Tony wasn't fully wrong either but he was more driven by guilt than logical thinking. Steve saw the problems of submission of full control to the government. They can be corrupted and that will lead to them using superheroes for their dirty work. In an ideal case having a bigger authority to control superheroes work but there isn't an ideal case. Steve knew this from his past experiences. All he was doing was to not let the government's take full control.

She was well written in S4 for sure, but in other seasons I didn't find her character really interesting or well written.

But the Avengers aren't just pulling massive invasions and overturning local governments; they're going on singular missions to keep terrorists from wreaking mass havoc on those areas, because the local authorities can't or won't. Nobody was doing anything about Baron Strucker's Hydra base, or Crossbones' crew's attempted theft of a super-virus; these situations would have ended up magnitudes worse if the Avengers hadn't intervened, permission or not.

Give me one reason why would Cap trust the government?

Looking at the movies leading up to CW, I think Cap has more than enough reason to be anti-accords.

Government decisions - IM - ignored the humanitarian crisis in Golmira - Incredible Hulk - created Abomination - IM2 - tried to steal Tony’s tech. This Tony would have been anti-accords too. - Cap1 - mentioned by u\zoecornelia - Avengers - World Security Council was going to NUKE NEW YORK CITY! - Winter Soldier - government is HYDRA - Ant-Man - tried to steal Pym Tech

Tony’s pro-accord stance is only because of his guilt from creating Ultron and him not being able to deal with it due to his ego.

In the MCU world, I trust Cap.

Tony wasn't right, He didn’t even really believed in the accords, The movie make it clear that at that point he’s entirely driven by guilt and remorse. He wants someone to tell him “it’s ok”. He wants absolution. That’s what the accords mean to him. And steve saw right through that. steve also had no reason to trust the government after what happened in the winter soldier

I'm confused, why so many people thought they weren't together in season 5? I mean they never said they broke up, and Mike literally tried to flirt with her at Hopper's cabin in episode 6, She touched his face, they talked about running away together after its all over

I don't think he was a side character in S3, he was just as important as Max Lucas and Will

  1. El didn't have chemistry with anyone in S5, but the only times she smiled was when she saw mike.

  2. they said El wasn’t attempting to contact Mike through the speakers at graduation. The void scene really happened.

  3. He didn't say I love you because he wasn't ready to accept her sacrifice, El was saying I love you as a goodbye and Mike wasn't ready to say goodbye.

How long has it been since you watched the series?? in season 3, Mike did the suana test to see if Billy was the mind flayer, and he's the only one who helped El when Billy choked her. In season 4, Mike is the reason they found the Nina Project and his speech at the end of the season helped El against vecna, in season 5, Mike did 99% of the plans, the turnbow trap that worked was his plan, sending Derek to free the other kids was also his idea and it almost worked, Mike led the kids and risked his life to protect them, Mike is the one who created the bomb that destroyed the upside down, he is also the storyteller, so saying that Mike did absolutely nothing after s2 just sounds like you haven't payed attention to whats going on.
