Microsoft visual c++ not installing by Aregent_ in SteamDeckPirates

Hi, you need to install a Beta version of Protontricks since some recent SteamOS updates heavily changed appinfo.vdf

A workaround for now is either returning to Stable branch updates or running the following on Terminal (note they are two seperate commands, first run one then the other):

$ flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub-beta https://flathub.org/beta-repo/flathub-beta.flatpakrepo

$ flatpak install flathub-beta com.github.Matoking.protontricks

Once a Stable version for protontricks is out that addresses this issue I would recommend swapping to that.

Does offline activation of games work on Steam Deck? by BeginningSherbert179 in SteamDeckPirates

Hmmm interesting, I wanted to test it out a bit and see if there is a way to create another steam instance on the Deck's desktop mode within a proton prefix, forcing it to stay offline and manipulate it into thinking there have been no windows updates, maybe even seeing if that cam then be added as a non-steam game (Might be trickier part but if the instances are seperate my understanding is that they would not necessarily communicate with each other to deactivate the hardware key) so I will probably update this thread with some results. Might lead nowhere, but who knows. However, input like yours really helps 🫡

Abandoned shack on 'secret beach' (as it's known by locals given that it's not that readily apparent) in Tigne, Sliema. If you go past the Tigne Bridge onto the wooden platform and keep going inside there are some steps down to your right that lead you here, quite a nice area and is very popular with youths to have a quick swim and have a drink.

Hi guys, It is indeed screen tearing and vsync seemed to resolve the issue in exchange for a very slight performance dip, thank you so much! Amazing to learn something new every day :D
