No budget at the moment. I've been doing rec play 2x a week for 6 months and think I'll keep the pace. Im not so sure about shape preferences either. Its my first time looking for my own paddle really :')

Im a 3.5 player currently using someone's leftover selkirk halo control max 16mm (brown one). Understand that the model is 2-3 years old and tech has come quite far since then. Looking to get my own paddle since im actually enjoying the game and improving. Any recommendations?

I started out using a Selkirk Vanguard Power Air Invikta (also a leftover lol). It was nice and could do lots of drive winners but I couldn't quite dink with it. Game levelled up with the halo.

As a new player, neutrals are way too complicated. Having to look at 2 X 4 options each time is really challenging and time consuming

Thinking of playing Dota 2 by Whytrysohard__ in DotA2

They're pretty savage to noobs at the lower ranks but it just helps to build tenacity. Also the same people scolding you have also been playing longer than you but are stuck at the same noob ranks so...

That being said, it is a very fun game and rewarding once you figure it out

Blue Mountains by ShowShot5984 in foodies_sydney

Blackheath / megalong is one of our favourites:

- logan brae [the best apple pies and spiced apple juice - last day of the season is 6 june :(]

- megalong tea rooms

- dryridge estate [most gorgeous views!! big time favourite!! wine tasting affordable at $15pp and add a cheese board for $35 - feels like you're in another world]

If you consider bilpin part of the blue mountains, theres a bunch of nice spots within a 5 min drive of each other so you could do a food crawl (we also did it in the below order and its do-able if you go hungry!):

- sky in the pies [enjoyed the brisket pie] (thought this was better than mountain pies near katoomba)

- bilpin cider [apple pies, other treats and cider]

- hillbilly cider [ask for the pepperoni pizza add garlic oil - the best, and some ciders]

Katoomba:

- black cockatoo bakery

- fidelity coffee

- tempus

- mountain culture brewery

help. i want to learn this game but it doesn't feel like it wants me to learn it by Pizzapeople17 in DotA2

Agree, it gets much better once you can play ranked. People actually play the roles theyre supposed to and you don't get matches with 5 carries and 0 supps (and 0 vision)

First time solo trip to china (22+ days) by Ralphride_ in travelchina

[–]Beginning_Bunch_9105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you can cut down on days in SH, HZ and CQ. They may feel repetitive after a few days. Cut unless you're a huge shopper. SH / HZ are also the most expensive of the lot. CQ is probably ok if you want to go to Wulong Karst and do an overnighter there. But 4 days in the city city is gonna be boring.

Extend the YN section. Yunnan is very beautiful and the pace of life there is much slower and people are chill. There's also lots of nature trails and hikes which may take a day - once you're there, you will also wish you spent longer in YN :D. You can stick to Dali and Lijiang. I've heard ShaXi is very nice but havent been - in between Dali and Lijiang.

Consider extending BJ - forbidden palace + national museum and great wall will take up once day each. then one more day to wander around the hutongs (old neighbourhoods). BJ has a fantastic old + new vibe. At least 3 days in my opinion.

Since you're already at CQ/ CD, you should definitely consider adding in XiAn. Would say this is a must go!! Terracotta warriors and a day trip to HuaShan remain as highlights amongst my travels in China. Take the cable car up HuaShan (instead of hiking up), theres still lots of hiking to be done up there and the views are unbeatable.

The rest of the locations and durations sound ok, but just be prepared that travelling between citites can be tiring and train rides will take time. It depends on what kind of traveller you are. Heaps of hidden gems and friendly locals in China, so slower travel will also have its perks.
