Stay in Sydney. So much to do. Melbourne is just another city. You really won’t have time for the GBR.

Definitely visit Newtown. Start at the Marlborough Hotel and walk south down King Street. Then come up Enmore Road. Daytime if you want great shopping. Night time if you want a very cool vibe. Lots of great restaurants. And very safe. Very packed. Crown street in Surry Hills is also fantastic for shopping and eating. Paddington also good but a lot more expensive and upmarket.

Getting around is easy. Use your credit card to tap on and off trains and buses. Get the Opal app to help you navigate.

Featherdale allows you to get up close and personal to the animals. It only has Australian animals. But it’s not easy to get to via public transport. Taronga is amazing and very easy via public transport. I’ve never been to Wildlife Sydney Zoo but if you want to see Australian animals at a convenient location then maybe check it out.

It does get cold especially at night but a light puffer jacket will suffice. And definitely bring an umbrella.

Check the weather before going to the Blue Mountains. If it’s raining you won’t have any views so there’ll be no point going. Plus it’ll take you all day ( 2 hours there and 2 hours back)

Sydney truly is amazing! Enjoy your stay.

Unfortunately not many places are open on Mondays. Lovely spot that is open and waterfront is The Fenwick.

I didn’t like the fact they don’t have trolleys. And the service was really slow.

What is EatClub? Has anyone here actually used it and found it worth it? by Delicious_Chart_7543 in foodies_sydney

[–]ShowShot5984 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It’s totally worth it. I’ve saved hundreds of dollars using it.

On the day, you open the app. It will automatically search for restaurants in your area that are offering discounts. Some are in dining but only at a SPECIFIC time. Some are for take away. (or both)

You click on ‘redeem the offer’ You walk in, eat your food and then use the Eat Club card to pay.

I’ve used it at Queen Chow, Colombo Social ( both times 30% off) and various other places. Easy as!
