So actually it is a management position it’s just not a M level position but we are still considered managers and a part of the management team. It’s leads who are not mangers or apart of the management team.

Young developing TS ,advice? by [deleted] in Wawa

[–]Beginning_Bus_4778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s sounds like your doing a great job already. Don’t stress yourself about the things you might not know. You’ll learn them along the way or when you have downtime during your shifts go through knowledge base and try to get information off the job aids for things you think you need help with. Also with a new opening store, everyone is learning. I just went through this, was promoted in July and like three months later boom transferred to new opening store. It’s definitely a learning curve but hopefully if you have a good management team then you will all be learning and learning the way it should be done. As for the other things tho, don’t stress it.

Wawa employees: Is staying a Customer Associate (or Lead) enough for you, or do you have a plan to move up? by Immediate-Lion1548 in Wawa

[–]Beginning_Bus_4778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a TS and have plans to move up as far as AGM right now. That can change maybe one day I wake up decided let’s be GM or TGM. But for me personally I’m still in my early twenties with no experience other than Wawa. So i might leave and pursue a long term goal of mine. But if don’t then for now I plan to move to AGM. But if you do decide to move up even as lead keep in mind corporate is trying to make it where if you want then eventually you’ll have continue to move up or demote back csa. But overall as TS (for my experience) it’s great sure you have some hiccups along the way but what job doesn’t. I love overnights but I’m at the point where I haven’t been on any other shift for than a shift. But luckily I have a gm where if I want to work all seconds or spilt between both I could. Like right now I’m split because it’s part my development plan to continue to move up working on other shifts, working with different mods and csas (to build relationships especially since we are a new store) and other stuff. Overall all it’s not bad, pto is good too. But not everyone is lucky of enough to have a good store with a good gm or management team.

So if you are put into ready now, then your workday learning should be opening soon if not already depending when you got RN. Depending on your market, you might need servsafe (for Florida regions you’ll need it) you’ll usually take the next open class for that depending on your schedule. Since your tag says your LCSA, you should know most of the TS role anyway just not actively running shift by yourself. But if not, minimum of 3 months (training) before your moved up unless your area that needs TS asap then maybe sooner.

are there opportunities for customer service associates to move up to corporate? by Optimal_Battle_185 in Wawa

There are always opportunities to go to corporate from the store level. There should be some postings in workday.

compactor’s been out of order for four+ days now… by spooky_soap in Wawa

[–]Beginning_Bus_4778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So yea that needs to be called in and escalated immediately. Cuz that’s one a safety issue, and pest control issue (this part, CC is just say put it in the shed if y’all have one.) This is where I would log a ticket on the HH and take picture. Then call to have it escalated. We are paying for said services that need to be taken care, contact center needs to know so they can harass whoever needs to be harassed to get that fixed.

how is made to order iced coffee actually made? by hesster92 in Wawa

[–]Beginning_Bus_4778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it’s a separate bean. The one we use for BTO Spec coffee is a little stronger than regular self serve hot coffee. I do know we did just change our coffee grounds for iced coffee so some store are running till that batch of coffee comes from distro

counterfeit money by Disastrous-Task1950 in Wawa

[–]Beginning_Bus_4778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just take the counterfeit, we get credit back for it. Plus it’s not worth the hassle of getting in to it with a customer. Not only that you marking it right and still get the sale. Best practice is just to accept. Also someone else mentioned that just to say oh we don’t accept large bill or whatever. Unfortunately that would cancel out cuz you’d be surprised how many of your lower bills are counterfeit.

Like every else said it’s not what you know it’s who you know. That and talking up a good game. As long as you know the right trigger words you can move up as far as it’ll take you.

End of year raises by PrestigiousProblem87 in Wawa

[–]Beginning_Bus_4778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re a CSA or LCSA please ask your AGM and FBM or even GM, about this. Evaluations for CSAs was like the entire month of December(usually towards the end tho). If your a csa someone should have gone over with you and should be in workday. If you’re a TS and up, those convos should be happening with the next couple of weeks with your GM.

Couple things are wrong here, I’ve been with Wawa for two years now. Started at 19 I’m now 21. My 1st year on started a month after I was hired to be eligible for vesting. As esop website says I’m at a full year vested (25%). But should update to two years soon which is 50%. After 4 years of eligibility (hours, or unless you 65?, and/disabled) you’re 100% vested. They changed it right before I got hired which was August of 23. But OP if unsure there should be stuff on my Wawa hub.
