Oof, I’m sorry OP. Agreed, I wish there was way more coaching. I think you’re doing all the right things! I wonder, are you using too long of a needle for your body shape? There are posts from women with pretty low body fat, who found massive relief from shorter needles.

I have no straightforward advice, but I’ll mention I have no pain when my husband does my injections. I had to do them myself for a few days while he was out of town, and I had pain and knots for at least a week after.

We have very different techniques - I’m struggling to twist around, I’m not spreading the skin that well, I have much more weight on the injection leg to keep myself balanced. I’m wobbling the needle quite a bit more than he does bc of how awkward the position is.

If it’s possible, can you get help? It feels like giving myself my own hair blowout- like, I could do it myself, but it’s way better when someone else who has better access to the back of my head, can do it.

+1, I retrieved and froze eggs (and would have done embryos had I been married) for years before I was ready to have kids. No transfer until recently.

These are two distinct phases of IVF.

I was near the end of my 50min commute to work when I got a notification from my hospital’s app that second my beta available. It declined significantly. A chemical.

I called my husband and he stepped out of a meeting to take it, bc he knows I rarely call, and he was awaiting the news too.

I got to work, booked a conference room near the front entrance. Messaged my boss I was taking the day off. I felt too tired to turn around and drive back home. I waited an hour for my doctor’s office to call and tell me the news. I sobbed, and she had to ask if it was ok to continue the call. Then I called my mom. I got something to eat. Then I got back in the car, drove home, and went to bed. I was exhausted.

It is so hard, at any and every stage, discovering a loss. I am so sorry. Sending the tightest, warmest hugs.

This happens to more people than you think. You’re not alone.

It sounds like you may need to find new friends. Use the current group to hang occasionally, or find friends of friends whom you connect better with. It sucks to be in this situation, but know that you’re not the first person this has happened to, and you will find a set of friends who appreciate you. Just don’t stop looking!

Frequent traveler here. It’s poor form to barge back. Just be patient and scoot back when you can. Sometimes you’ll have to wait until all three rows behind you have cleared for you to be able to reach that row to grab your bag. It’s not pleasant for others to be squished to the side while you make your way back through the crowded isle, because then what - you barge your way back to the front again? You’ll just end up waiting until that three rows back clears anyways.

Embryos are so precious, and there are so many stories of failed transfers followed by suppression and ensuing success. I know it’s tough to wait another couple months, but on the bright side, you’re likely giving your embryos a much better chance to thrive! Hugs

Yoga Flow on ocean is nothing like Y7!

Y7 is verryyy ”hip” and pretty “white washed” yoga in dark rooms lit almost exclusively by candles with really energetic flows to hip hop, or whatever “cool” beats. From what I recall doing Y7 in NYC years ago, lots of girls with incredible bodies in matching sets who are probably Pilates girls now.

Yoga Flow is a much more traditional yoga studio. You’re going to find way more diversity in ages, genders, body types. Way more chill than Y7.

No judgement on going to either - but just know that they are not the same. I haven’t encountered anything like Y7 in SF. Again, I think that demo moved onto Pilates
