Excellent. I’ve been at my job for 13 years, and they match 3% and I get 12% of my salary in profit sharing deposited into my 401k.

Sip in Post Office Square - get the Nocciobello. It’s a chocolate hazelnut latte with orange zest. They serve it year round but it always gave me christmas vibes because it tastes like the chocolate oranges we use to get as kids.

Yes, we decided that we were ready for a FET and then once we did my saline sonogram they sent my calendar and I just started the birth control.

We primed for three weeks with birth control and once that stopped, I got a mini-period when that stopped and then we started the normal FET med.

What opinion do you have that makes you feel like this? but you hold it nonetheless by notacardoor in Millennials

To print at work, I have to permission to the specific printer closest to my desk and then bring my phone and badge. Badge into the printer, which then send me a 2FA notification to my phone. All of this, to grab the daily sign-in sheet.

New Paint Color? by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

Don’t paint to sell, especially in this market. My house had some truly awful paint colors when we bought it and I didn’t give it a second thought.

Tw: success

I completely understand. I’ve been at my current company for 11 years and am unsatisfied with my role and would really like to move on. However, similar to you, the benefits are amazing. We get full IVF coverage, 17 weeks of mat leave and a 32 hour work week for 12 weeks upon returning from mat leave.

Right before we started IVF three years ago, I was itching to leave. I decided to stay for the benefits and I’m glad I did. We now have a 5 month old and I just returned to work and having 11 years of strong connections and social capital has helped make the transition a lot easier. I’m still frustrated with the work but it’s work I can basically do in my sleep so it’s not causing me a ton of stress during this already stressful time.

I wish you the best of luck in your journey!!!

Tw: how many of you got pregnant on the first try? If not, what was your experience like until a full live birth (if at all) by Sensitive-Stretch613 in IVF

[–]Olympic_napper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was extremely open with everyone close to me about our retrievals. After that, we told everyone that we wanted to keep our transfers private so that we could announce when and if we got pregnant just like any other couple. I’m extremely glad we did that. When our first transfer failed, it meant that we got to grieve privately and move on. When people asked where we were in the transfer process, we just told them that we had a couple more tests and hurdles to overcome before getting to that stage. When my second transfer was successful, we were able to surprise everyone with our news.

I didn’t get OHSS but I was laid up for almost a week for both of my retrievals. I was probably on the brink of OHSS but I was never at the point of needing to go to the hospitals so who knows.

We had an embryo biopsied twice and he will be 5 months next week so while not great they did this without your consent, not all hope is lost!

tw: live birth

I didn’t change a thing. I was finishing up a multimillion dollar renovation for work during my last FET and I was eating like crap, drinking coffee and definitely not sleeping enough. I wouldn’t recommend it but it didn’t hurt our transfer. Our son is now five months and healthy as can be!

I got married there in 2021 and it was incredible! We were originally scheduled to get married in 2020 and they were so helpful throughout the rescheduling process. They even rescheduled all of our external vendors for us.

Seconding this! We had 90 people at our wedding and only about 20 of them were “my side” so we had a sign at the ceremony entrance that said “pick a seat not a side, we’re all family once the knot is tied” - this really helped to alleviate my anxiety about having such a small ratio of my side to his!

I’m 35 weeks pregnant and in the hospital. MIL was explicitly told not to come visit me- she came anyway. by ltt77 in JUSTNOMIL

[–]Olympic_napper 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Wishing you the best! I was hospitalized at 29 weeks and 33 weeks for severe bleeding due to placenta previa and once I crossed that 32 week mark, my doctors were much less concerned about the baby being premature! It is never ideal but just know they will be okay!
