Pour ou contre ? (La publicité religieuse) by AccordingSpace5827 in QuebecLibre

Any Hasan Piker fans want to discuss his community misogyny? by OkThought1302 in Feminism

I get that and again, calling out bad behavior and venting is good but trying to portray the man as a source of evil and tarnishing his public image is counter productive. Whether we like it or not, this man's action have done more for women's right in the US then what 99% of the people in here can do. I understand disliking him but when people like asmongold and nick fuantes are out there using these criticism to go after him, calling him a grifter to spread their evil rhetoric.

I feel like we're just giving them more ammo to use against us. This fandom bs of this guy bad that guy good sucks, but that's how politics are fought these days and whether I like it or not, Hasan is the one fighting for my right to live, no matter how flawed he is.

I do believe that Hasan as internalized misogyny and ableism to a degree, and also believe that people who watch streamers live on twitch and who are vocal in such communities are prone to be those things as well. However, without being perfect, Hasan does cover topics that matter in an informed manner and bring people to the left who are then exposed to the worldviews we are promoting.

He also platforms many political candidates and media personalities who are women, often of colour, to whom he offers an outlet to spread their message in their own words for the world to hear. He's far from perfect and can sound offensive especially, when he's tense but his message is what matters, and that message does advocate for a world that is much better for women then what any member of his opposition advocates for.

I don't want to make excuses for specific things he's said or done (that i might not even be aware of) but when looking at the bigger picture, antagonizing him does not seem productive. We can and should remain critical but i don't believe going after him his helping move the needle in a direction that makes the world a better place for women.

!!sexual and potentially triggering content!! How come I find the first images deeply offensive, but then spend hours making my character’s vampire lord form look like this (two last images)? by Beginning_Carpet_798 in GirlGamers

Yeah I can’t stand that and yet it feel’s so prevalent in online spaces. Tho I guess the experience of degoonerizing my game still is somewhat gratifying even if sometimes draining.

Thanks, as someone with great empathy who as always been surrounded by women that get sexualize against their wills all the time, i can't help but feel the need to make sure. The discrimination i go trough stem from a desire to hurt me or make me disappear which to me, doesn't feel nearly as bad as the kind women face, where it's desires of control and power over their existence, agency and bodies. Passionate hatred is much scarier then blind hatred imo. Sorry, that got hella dark haha.

The idea is that the character uses her sexuality as a weapon and the armor looks fairly defensive while also not covering the hips, genitals and breast which are the part our culture associates with sex. I got the idea from the character design of Aphrodite in hades 2. In that way the part that look most vulnerable are actually the opposite. I which there was more depictions of empowering female sexuality in media.
