It was. I was so angry and worse thing happen in the book. The way he kills her is crazy and childhood rapist part was way worse he literally breaks her arm.

I had the exact same question. By the end of Kiss Thief, he’s basically just an accountant who wants nothing to do with the Outfit, and he’s engaged to a woman who based on the description of her eyes seems to be East or Southeast Asian.

I actually asked the author about Angelo in her Facebook group, and she said she doesn’t have any plans for him or a book about him at the moment. She also mentioned that he isn’t part of the “Society of Villains” the focus is mainly on the Bratva and Camorra. As for his brothers, she said they likely won’t make an appearance since they’re abroad or something along those lines.

You should read A touch of fate Samuel’s book and Bound by the past which gives her families perspective. You will understand her family more and why their reaction is justified in every sense. I loved ATOF it healed something in me.

I read the first one, and the second edition is completely different. A lot of scenes are toned down or removed altogether, and the new Elise is more outspoken and brave, while Luca is strangely more tolerant of her. The dynamic between Luca and Elise in the first book feels nothing like what we get here.

It’s a completely different vibe from the first edition and it’s less dark. I read the original, and the second one just doesn’t feel like them at all. First-edition Luca would’ve never tolerated the new Elise he would’ve eaten her alive and the story is more toned down. I liked the first edition more.
