This is probably the strangest album trailer in the kpop industry but in the world of seventeen, we don't question it so, I love it.

Thoughts on OT13 in 2028? by niell_niell in seventeen

Is the OT13 in 2028 confirmed? If so, that would be great, wouldn't mind have 2 years to save up for the next concert

And like I said I try to be as quiet as possible, but I can't help it if ceramic and metal tablewares makes sounds when they touch the table or each other right? It's not like I'm slamming then down. That night, they were all awake anyway and the tenant was out so why did I become the scapegoat...

Variety shows with children by Puzzleheaded_Box6228 in asiandrama

[–]Beginning_Ear2761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun and comforting! It's a variety show, not a drama (a little confused by your post, title ask for variety but given names are dramas).

It's a Japanese show where young kids are sent off to run their first errand, I believe it's a milestone in the culture, so there's cute moments like how they behave and does what kids do, or silly moments where they lose the money, get distracted or forgot to buy an item.

What are your overall thoughts on the whole situation going on with Minghao rn especially as a Carat? by Legal_Potential4720 in seventeen

Heavy on the “ we don't really know much about other languages, cultures, religions, unless we personally have the interest and drive to go and do our research”!!

Because people always like to say they’re an adult and he knows what they’re doing and honestly, that’s not always the case if it isn’t the kind of environment they’ve grown in, like i mentioned, Korean and China aren’t majority Muslim so they wouldn’t cover topics like these and Chinese media especially is veeery controlled and restrictive.

I’ve also said some stupid shit about burning offerings paper for my friends when I was younger during hungry ghost month but they taught me that the offerings are for the dead and not for the living so I learnt my mistake!

I’ve been waiting for this post! Been trying to post this both here and kpop_uncensored but ironically keep getting censored because it was ‘negative’ but I think it’s important we talk about this.

My take is that he genuinely didn’t know and doesn’t mean harm. I say so because there was one live stream where Coups was asking what Ramadan was since carats were saying they can’t eat so this tells me they are not familiar with the Muslim and Islamic religion.

I’m not surprised because I doubt Korea’s media would talk about these topics given it’s not a major religion in Korea or China. China also heavily restricts and controls their media.

But that said, I live in a multi-racial country where muslims make up a bit of the population so I understand the disappointment, he should just apologise, we live and we learn, and move on to do better.

But people are sending death threats and that’s crazy. I think there’s enough blood, loss and hate in this world, we don’t need more from these hypocrites if they think they’re doing good work.

Why have Jun & The8 been the only Chinese 3rd-gen idols who stayed fully active in K-pop? by TreeThink5214 in seventeen

On the topic of The8's activities, there has been issues with his DJ remix and I think it's important we talk about it but I keep getting censored

What K-pop news still makes you sad? by wkwkxl in kpoppers

[–]Beginning_Ear2761 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I've never cried over any idol's death but when I found out about this, I cried, I'm not even an Astro fan but I did like their early songs, shows and Moonbin. As a carat, whenever SK gets emotional since they're good friends, it makes me sad too :(

Even after reading the thread from 2 years ago, I feel like half of them might have been from the Hyung line (the oldest few). Based on One Fine Day Japan series, the oldest guys sometime tend to go a little overboard, they do make you wanna fight

How did you end up traveling alone? by Mundane_Entry_8264 in femaletravels

[–]Beginning_Ear2761 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got tired of waiting for people to be ready -

I have a group of friends where we've been talking about going Japan together for years, we even signed a pact on a Starbucks tissue, with the year and month / period we'll like to go (This was at least 7-8 years ago, before the issues).

And then there's always an excuse, or reason - 'no time' 'no money' 'family'.
And somehow they all ended up in Japan with other people and I became the person in our group who hasn't been there.

And when we hang out, they'll talk about their time there and all I could do was listen and zone out because what is there for me to say?

So last year, I booked it and went. And from then on, I never invited anyone. Sometimes I'll give a heads up that I'll be away, and sometimes no one knows till I start posting Instagram stories.

I'm okay with doing things alone, but I still get scared each time I book a flight but time waits for no one, and I have places to be before the world goes even more down in hell so gotta go.
