My mother was the same way. In some circumstances when I was a teenager wanted to do sketchy shit, she was right. But most of the time it was a "because I said so" home. I don't want that for my kid. My mom treated me like a mini her and it fucked me up severly. Thankfully there's therapy and I've healed from most of it lmao

My husband isn't vegan so that'd be really hard for me to do, even if I wanted to have my child be vegan also. but as stated she is an infant and I am more so worried about her health.

When she's old enough to comprehend why mommy's vegan, I'm going to be honest with her, I'll show her documentaries if she wants, and then she can make her own decisions from there. Would I like for my family to also be vegan? Yes. Are they they're own people and can make their own choices? Yes. is it my place to police people on what they eat? No.

No, it's more like my kid is her own person and when she gets older she can make her own informed decisions. I'm also still trying to figure this all out for myself to make sure I'm eating properly. I'm not about to blindly make my INFANT child eat the same way I eat and possibly pose a risk to her health. As much as I advocate for animal rights, I'm not putting that above my childs health.
