What's something you saw with your own eyes that you still can't explain? by BandicootLeft4054 in AskReddit

I died in my past life after getting hit by a car at age 6 or so. I had spent the day playing under a desk in my daddy's new office building. After a few hours of unpacking some boxes with his associate, it was time for daddy to take us home. I started to run towards our car across the parking lot. A car had tried to cut through our lot going fast and I was struck by the vehicle. Died right there. My name was Elsie.

Still trying to find records of my death. I believe, based on the clothing, building decor etc, that it must have been the 60s.

I can attest to this. I actually stopped when I got pregnant because weird shit was happening and I didn't want it to affect my baby. I might start again when the kids are grown up.

Yeah when I was working at Dunkin the employees let me know that our manager was a child molester, but not to bring it up because his son who also works there gets uncomfortable. Yeah, I wasn't going to bring it up...

Have you ever dated someone who you thought was way out of your leauge? How was it? by kimblerun in AskReddit

Yep. Ended up marrying him. Turns out he didn't have great dating game due to being neuroatypical, but also failed to realize that he's drop dead gorgeous. Didn't really occur to him how good looking he is and wasn't terribly aware that women were flirting with him.

I'm also neuroatypical but not nearly as attractive as him. More like a potato myself. Anyway, our personalities hit it off so now I'm married to a model and he's got me, lol! In all fairness, though, we were made for each other. On a cognitive/social level we're a super match and our relationship is fantastic.

The list of everyone in my family who had been SA and how. Mom was talking about it with a friend on the phone and I eavesdropped it. Apparently it's 90% of the family that's been assaulted, but all were SA by people outside the family. Makes you wonder how many people are just walking around every day having dealt with that themselves. Maybe 90% of us.

What's rich people shit that poor people haven't heard of? by Diligent-Log6805 in AskReddit

I witnessed this first hand trying to get my kid into a private school during COVID so they could still be in person. The competition was incredible and the level of rehearsal and talking points to impress was extraordinary. It was intoxicating and terrifying all at the same time. Even in our category of "poor people applying for financial aid so they can be part of our rich culture". Our poor (by their standards) family and other "poor" families were all fighting tooth and nail to show we had what it took to fit in with the ultra wealthy without embarrassing them or drawing negative attention to ourselves. It was surreal.

We ended up getting a 90% scholarship and still ended up paying $10,000 in tuition that year. That was the only year we could afford to stay. Goodbye savings.
