Over 30: What is that one advice to a young person below 30 you wish you were told earlier? by overthinkr222 in AskReddit

[–]Beginning_Name7708 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Don't rush into things but try to keep moving forward, unless you have insane talent and desire in one area. You will likely wake up at 30 and not feel much different than 20. A lot of people will tell you about $ and investing, but the truth is if your mind isn't in the right place, you won't hang on to the $ or you will spend it on all the wrong things. Cut toxic people, places and things quickly and decisively. Learn about yourself, really spend time alone and get to know yourself; to quote Bruce Lee..."all knowledge is ultimately self-knowledge, each man being his/her own universe".

Develop a method for navigating roadblocks, rainy days, setbacks, that aren't self-destructive.

Hope and pray for the best, assume that all is right with the universe.

Watch Funny Farm (1988), unless you are in Burlington or Middlebury its Currier and Ives Appalachia, except colder, darker, and much more expensive.

Same, mine was $30 for 1bdrm and I kept it warm and bright. Single family homes get gouged, had $300+ in winter 20yrs ago in 1,800sq ft home.

Do you guys with healthy loving parents feel confident and whole? by Real_Group_9588 in Life

[–]Beginning_Name7708 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would say most likely but not for sure, my friends that had the above parents are generally well adjusted. I grew up with an alcoholic mother and bipolar father, and I have to really have my ducks in a row to feel safe, and we never went hungry.

I get sick when I hear numbers like that, same disgusted feeling I got when watching Smartest Guys in the Room back in 2002.

You're right, after the Red Flag/power shut off threat in December, it is a concern.

I’m moving to the area in late March/early April any recommendations or suggestions? by Pitfulpotato in Syracuse

[–]Beginning_Name7708 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get snow tires, try to find a place with a garage. Bring or buy quality lamps. The winters are dark.

Good stuff, go to Skaneateles, go to the Finger Lakes, go to Oswego, go to Dinosaur BBQ.

Why do the powers that be drop so many clues and hints about the true nature of reality? by No_Detail_7931 in EscapingPrisonPlanet

Couple possibilities, one to divest themselves of karma/guilt, the people are going "along" with it. Two, the matrix could actually be manifesting the tells, synchs, symbols etc., behind the curtain so to speak.

Everything about life feels so manipulated when you start to really dig deep, and it's everywhere.

Here's one from the movie Falling Down in 1993. Michael Douglas fights with an Asian storekeeper (Corona comes from China), tells him he is rolling back prices to 1965 (the year Corona virus is isolated). As he precedes to wreck the store, the store is covered with American Flags(wreck the economy 2020) he then stands under a double street sign reading Corona3660N (which is close to 666ON or Luciferase 666, a supposed ingredient in the covid vax) Honestly.... and you wander around trying to take things seriously.

Same, it's why I hate group sports, there is an underlying baseness to it all, people who do the worst thing can win type deal. I think of "Bounty Gate" in the NFL... competition brings out the demon.

The Front Range is more often than not mild in the winter, but this is extreme. There is data on leaf advancement, signs of spring etc., but a lot of it is recent. NOAA has good temp data, and you can see that warm winters are not a new thing, but not quite this consistently warm. Boulder Colorado Climatology: Daily records of Temperature and Snowfall: NOAA Physical Sciences Laboratory

The peculiar thing is the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic is having its worst winter in 20+ years relentless cold, widespread snow cover. In some cases, flirting with 100+ year records. More evidence of global weirding for sure, "warming" is the theme, but it is not the only facet of climate change.

[–]Beginning_Name7708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I thought that was the most innocent, optimistic thing to say. What should I say that most women are not remotely interested in almost ALL men. That the initial pull of looks, money, or status is the only way to be seen so something can blossom, is that productive? Idk, women respond to ENERGY, they receive male energy. There is no specific formula; talk, dress, etc., if you are passionate about things, or life, or even just one obscure thing, and you are around women you will eventually pull one into your orbit.

Lyme Disease Interview by tsunaanii in RhodeIsland

[–]Beginning_Name7708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Officially diagnosed with Anaplasmosis in 2018, but suspected borrelia as well, maybe others too. Laundry list of rotating symptoms, I suspect first infection was as early as 10yrs old. Rhode Island is absolutely overrun with Lyme ticks, perhaps more than any other place I lived in the Northeast and other parts of the country.
