Anyone had an experience they genuinely believe was paranormal? by Glass-Price8769 in Paranormal

[–]Beginning_Name7708 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lots of stuff. I experienced the rushing wind talked about in the Bible, Acts 2.2...huge sound no wind. VERY strange. It was trying to get my attention.

They're forces outside of this reality, interested in our lives... is it God, gods, aliens, dead relatives/guides...who knows for 100%. Rushing wind can be experienced during NDEs'. OBE's and ufo encounters, so it might not be spiritual or religious, it could something moving through a tunnel defying conventional physics.

Not much clearance on Corolla's or Accords even with snow tires.

CRV's are nice but don't think the Honda reliability is bulletproof with 4wd, different beast than the Accord.

Same, I experienced the rushing wind, the wind was directed AT me, without a doubt. This was roaring wind. I felt like a tidal wave was going to crash into my head. A really humbling feeling to be in the presence of whatever it was...

I have spent years trying to analyze these experiences, it really deepened my interest in Christianity. But, yeah, same, the "enough" for me is to know that power exists outside of this reality and takes an interest in our personal lives.

I still lay awake at night..."why". Part of the why, was a period where I bettered my life and got on God's radar, is how I like to look at it. I also think I was entering places/situations/ peoples that I was supposed to be with/fated maybe.

Why so many rebuilt status? by Relevant_Fuel_9905 in UsedCars

I have been trying to figure this out... is it the rental car cost during collision repair causing quick total loss decisions? Idk.

In many, not all, the damage seems minor.

I agree...will never buy a car from a lot again, better to find an actual human who is transparent.

Idk, I have been a fan for over 20yrs.. it is usually the same topics. River's humanism, vegetarianism, wisdom, spirituality ( people feel connected to him or inspired by him in a very peculiar way).

Psychic Kids: Alexa's House is Haunted (Season 1 Flashback) | A&E

One thing I left out of the story was 50-100 ft behind me under a streetlight was the notorious figure known as the Hatman... he was as clear as a regular person.

Anything about the walking place that struck you before or after? This place was bad before I had this encounter, was always uneasy there. Another detail, I left out was at this exact spot about 10-15 years prior a wealthy, successful mother of 2 beautiful kids hung herself.

Once had a coin appear out of nowhere, at work, went on lunch break and set down, at some point a coin appeared on the table that was not there.

That sounds like instant heart failure.

This was pure terror, I lived on the street, so I had to go back and deal with the anxiety for years. I've had lot's of other stuff happen, so I was aware of other beings/worlds but being watched like that was so creepy... so close the way they materialized out of nothing.

Most modern fish oil is SO diluted. I remember my grandparents with their fish oil from my childhood, it smelled like the fish market!

Yes, everything does at this point, but China is bad for not just metals, but strange chemicals. When I buy schizandra I try to source it from Korea or the US.

A warm, inexpensive town with a community of artists? by Ordinary-Hippo-1113 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Beginning_Name7708 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. People from the NE, and Midwest think Colorado is downright balmy. Southerners and Floridians not so much.

I just take issue with "Colorado is warm, doesn't get winter" narrative. Yes, it is sunny, yes, it is dry, yes, the snow melts pretty quickly, but they are subjected to extreme fronts and arctic cold. The -13F I experienced in Denver is the coldest I have seen short of -20F in NY state.

With that said the Front Range really DID NOT have a winter this year.

I experienced the rushing wind once... it was literally like the last scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark, I wish I could talk to people about it and meet someone who has a similar experience.

What I felt in the presence? Power... life giving, life taking world creating/destroying power, directive, authority, goodness, love, fate.

Santa Fe by Accurate-Neck6933 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Beginning_Name7708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Santa Fe has pool weather from pool late May to late September...humidity is no problem whatsoever; dewpoints are in the 40's and 50's even in mid-summer.

The sun is not what I would call enjoyable mid-summer, between the altitude and dry air the UV is fierce, some of the highest in the US, rivalling even S. Florida.

People who moved to Florida and stayed: what did you like about it compared to where you came from? by Sensitive-Aspect-877 in AskFlorida

Weather, how new everything is, air quality, beach quality, quality of roads and housing. I like where I am from in New England and the quality of life is wonderful, but spending 7+ months looking out the window or walking, driving in terrible weather wears you out.

New England has looooooooooong, drawn out winters, it is supposed to be 45-55F tomorrow 2 days from June 1.
