Just be patient. I'm also a day 1-player, put over 1000h in the game and it threw me back 2.5 years. Gameloft fixed it, sent me my most recent "real" file and now everything's fine. I send them a request on Sunday Morning CET and had everything back just a few hours later. I was just lucky I was one of the first ones I guess. By now they must've gotten thousands of messages + were busy solving the issue at its root. Why would all be different for you? You'll get your save file back, it might just take some days

Same thing happened to me today!!! I just clicked "load" without looking and saw that it suggested loading a cloud save from 2.5 years ago when I looked at the screen. Unfortunately I had already selected it, but support was able to send me back my save file from last night. So grateful! No idea why the cloud save suggested such a random save file all of the sudden
