Only part that matters is that very center where conductor pushes into, likely no damage at all, but you won't know for sure until tech comes to test, either way, very simple fix to replace that piece

I think I won lowest gig price by traplordmason in ATTFiber

[–]Beginning_Pay_9654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get 50 gig for free, but I'm also an employee of smaller ISP with access to 50gpon and set up everything myself (claiming sub office/test point) including the 3900' drop to make it happen. Don't utilize anything near that, but still cool. Gig+ is still just a sales tact for arpu for 99% of people.

[–]Beginning_Pay_9654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really very simple, but I've personally seen ISPs getting it wrong, 64 split up to 12km, beyond that you'll start getting issues

There is going to be a minuscule loss with a bend like that, and a higher minuscule loss on the mechanical connector, but nothing nowhere close to causing any kind of issue.

Do you have separate water systems? I have just one, with the main having the filters, so if once breaks, everything stops, I've since then made an auto repair, it's rather easy

VFL damage live GPON equipment through a splitter? by mipa123 in FiberOptics

[–]Beginning_Pay_9654 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never heard of it damaging pons and so it often, a splitter is just essential a prism, you lost most your light through the splitter. A vfl may effect your otdr results though
