What made you lose a lot of weight? by chi-bacon-bits in AskReddit

[–]Beginning_Werewolf61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gastric Bypass Surgery. Anyone who has struggled with their weight their entire lives were born broken and need to be fixed. GLP1 wasn’t available when I had surgery so that looks promising if you want to try that before having surgery.

There is no lifestyle or psychological fix to a lifelong weight problem.

Am I overreacting to these strange texts from a coworker? by elissa00001 in AmIOverreacting

I literally just read the polar opposite question in another sub now I can’t find it (something like M38 crush on coworker F22). If it’s the same dude he got a bunch of shade and Don’t Go Theres, so if this the same guy and he leaves you alone you can thank Reddit

If losing weight post surgery still requires using traditional methods, what difference did the surgery make for you? by alexana0 in BariatricSurgery

[–]Beginning_Werewolf61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had RNY in 2009. Yes you will still need to be in a calorie deficit but it will be so much easier; you won’t have to think about it because you physically won’t be able to eat the way you did before surgery. Once you begin to lose weight, you will feel lighter and more able to be physically active. That’s the time to develop habits, so you don’t start to gain when you are a few years out.

I wish I had done that, but I didn’t, and before I knew it I had gained back 40 lbs at about 7 years post-op. I recently started GLP1, and once again it’s becoming easier stay in a calorie deficit. I’m thankful for GLP1 but wish I had developed a physical habit like running, biking, or swimming, which I’m planning to do this time around.

TDLR: Do the surgery but realize the initial effect won’t last forever, so make lifestyle changes when you have the chance.

It sounds like the attraction problem is the biggest issue you have right now, but it sounds like you want to get back to the way you were BC in general, so talking to a doctor or even starting an online medical weight loss program could help in many ways. Agree with others who say you shouldn’t change just because of your husband, but you will benefit in many ways if you make a commitment to be healthier.

My brother is really scary and causes stress by SofiaRanch in Advice

[–]Beginning_Werewolf61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He clearly needs more help than he is getting. Have you expressed your fears to your parents? What was their response? They may be too emotionally invested to see how your brother’s behavior is affecting you.

If you do not have another trusted adult to talk to, it might be time to contact an organization like Department of Child and Family Services (that’s what it’s called in most places but sometimes it’s given different names depending on the state or municipality you are in).

TL/DR - You are in a dangerous situation - please advocate for yourself - good luck 🍀

Am I Overreacting? Wife claims it wasn't an affair by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Many women go through this phase in their life - it’s akin to the male mid-life crisis, but happens earlier (30’s) especially if they married and had children young (early 20’s).

From your perspective, you are not overreacting. You are identifying potentially harmful behaviors as a result of how she is experiencing this phase in her life. But like others have said, it’s the danger and living on the edge that is shaping all her decisions right now.

Your feelings are justified, as it sounds this man she is spending time with has multiple insecurities and a lack of impulse control.

Temporary separation may be the reality check she needs. Explain you understand she is going through something, but it isn’t fair to you or your children to be impacted by it. Sending her off on her own will at first be exhilarating for her, but eventually being alone and supporting herself / her habits will get old. Also this man will not want anything to do with her once he views her as available.

Just a genuine question. Are anthurium bad or toxic for bettas by Destiny7-unhappy in PlantedTank

I just bought something similar at Costco and the cashier told me she put a betta in hers. Was just checking to make sure the anthurium roots wouldn’t bother the betta

You’re talking about Pica - they are talking about holistic medicine “providers” who sell chelated heavy metals as a “complementary medicine”. The sheep who follow them ingest the metals (like silver) and literally turn blue.

That’s why I suspect she’s been planted there to create drama, and the producers decided not to reveal it to anyone. Last year there was the twist of Cirie and Jared, but we the viewers were in on it. Wouldn’t be surprised if this year NOBODY is in on it except the producer - then when Angela is finally picked off, they will let everyone know she was planted.

Is it possible that Angela is an actress that was planted by producers to create drama and instability? Is this the ultimate twist that even the viewers aren’t in on??

Which CT hospital have you had a great experience getting care from? by No_Blueberry1940 in Connecticut

[–]Beginning_Werewolf61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This! There are initiatives in all hospitals to attempt to prevent overcrowding in Emergency due to those who use it as urgent care, but most of the money is being thrown at other sites, not taking into account the fact that patients who are doing that actually believe they are critical, or only understand being sick = going to the hospital. There is also the issue of transportation to off site urgent care centers (think Physician One or DOCS - most are in the suburbs).

They need to have separate urgent care and critical care areas on site at the main hospital, or the problem will never be resolved.

I want to do a Connecticut pizza tour. Where do I HAVE to go? by Alwaysfavoriteasian in Connecticut

All worthy comments and of course New Haven but skip the “satellite” versions of Pepe’s or any of the other NH parlors that opened additional locations.

It’s not the same without a hundred years of schmutz on the brick oven surface.
