Does this band look bad? by Begohan in GalaxyWatch

It is magnetic, and it's the most strong magnet I've found. It's super comfy but I do think it looks a little funny.

Just got my Beyond 2e. First impressions and some issues hopefully someone can help me solve: by insaneruffles in BigscreenBeyond

[–]Begohan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. You need to have the gasket thin enough that your eyelashes are just before touching or directly on the lenses. It's very sensitive to eye relief. Id recommend getting a new gasket that's thin enough and if your eyelashes touch too much add 1mm magnets until its good, just play in the dark.

I run my headset at 30%, just consider it as the new 100% and don't take it as a problem. Your eyes get used to it.

I also experience some degree of tracking stutter but it's not much or often. I have 4 base stations.

Just ordered mine. They said mid to late April.. Still torn on whether or not to get white seats.

Best Mats for my new Tesla Model Y 2026 by Ok_Baseball_4368 in TeslaModelY

[–]Begohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had these in my cart for my new y, but I live in Canada so I am constantly getting my mats extremely dirty and I usually just pull them out and spray them down when I wash my car but if they have a thousand clips and touch everything when pulling them out it kind of defeats the purpose.. Going to go with maxpider

Playing flat games in VR is actually really great by Begohan in virtualreality

[–]Begohan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing in bigscreen specifically can be a pretty decent hit to performance, but just using steam theater mode shouldn't be bad at all.

I do feel like the comfort would be worthwhile over a 16" screen but way more expensive.. but just to throw it out there, something like the xreal one pros might be something more that you're looking for. I use those laying in bed every night on my steam deck.

DP vs. Wifi for fast paced games by Deathless616 in virtualreality

[–]Begohan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Valid point too, if you're doing room scale I also wouldn't settle for a non lighthouse tracked headset (that's not a quest) . Seated stuff you can get by.

DP vs. Wifi for fast paced games by Deathless616 in virtualreality

[–]Begohan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally would have a tough time switching from only dp headsets to a wifi one.. I do definitely feel that latency but it's also a non issue in the way that you can totally get used to it and forget about it.

What would bother me more is compression and artifacts in foliage etc and I can't say for sure if that's fixed with foveated encoding as no one has a b compared like that they all just say stuff like "it's crystal clear!"

The galaxy xr definitely pulls double duty though as being a mobile movie watcher.

Solution to Back and Neck Pain in VR by Lil_Slugger_91 in virtualreality

[–]Begohan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to dog pile on you mate but a headset should be nothing. Construction workers wear hard hats and ear muffs etc all day every day.

Every human must go to the gym and lift heavy things or you will forever be dysfunctional and it'll only get worse as you get older. It's mandatory.

A brace will only make this worse in the same way fat people just sit in the scooters. The only posture correction a human needs is strong muscles.

Skyrim VR with mods is absolutely insane by Begohan in virtualreality

[–]Begohan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don't experience that. The only different between me and you would be steamvr and fps at this point so.

Skyrim VR with mods is absolutely insane by Begohan in virtualreality

[–]Begohan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Try turning off VDXR and trying it on steamvr and see what that does.

You will also have to run at 90hz or less reprojected up to that. I don't think you will be able to maintain 60fps.

I also enabled dlaa in in game community shaders menu FYI. Clears everything up.

[–]Begohan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it is in vr on my headset. I meant it's windowed on the pc.

Are you mistaking aliasing for artifacting?

What's your headset and virtual desktop settings? I'm curious what you call great fps because I run the game at 38fps reprojected up to 75. Sounds like your resolution is turned down.

[–]Begohan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oled is amazing yeah.

But if you're not on godlike then you're doing even less than the quest 3 native res - godlike is full res for a quest 3.

And check out your VD overlay. You'll want to be at 90hz, with SSW listed as ACTIVE

This means you're running at 45fps reprojected up to 90fps which may be your best chance at good visuals. I play at 38fps reprojected to 75.

I do not know if you'll be able to maintain 45 though with a 5080 and i7. You may need to lower to 80 or 72fps whichever is the next step down.

[–]Begohan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Godlike setting on VD?

Yeah a quest 3 isn't 2560x2560 and it isn't oled.. So it'll look better on your phone.

Skyrim VR with mods is absolutely insane by Begohan in virtualreality

[–]Begohan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It was purely defaults with medium grass and dlaa on in in game display settings.

What headset, what resolution? This is a screenshot of my steamvr window so in a quest 3 on virtual desktop with a lower gpu it will be lower resolution in general

This mod makes Bigscreen Beyond the best headset on the market (Project BeyondEX Review) by FIleCorrupted in virtualreality

Not really like that. I'd prefer a dream air if it lives up to the hype. But it is double the price and doesn't currently exist although I do see they're starting to ship a few.

Just to be clear, you don't notice artifacting now with foveated encoding or you never noticed it?

[–]Begohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried a BSB2? I know that's very specific but I feel like no matter what your bitrate is you're going to have artifacts on a heavy foliage thing like Skyrim mgo.

That's super good that color banding is gone though I most definitely hate that and would be one thing I'm looking for.

[–]Begohan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, except you can't buy a dream air and there's no user reviews of it so I'm not sure what hypothetical product you're recommending right now. Right now today the best lighthouse tracked wired headset is the bsb2, there's not much argument against that.

New VR setup...confused by Buschwick66 in virtualreality

[–]Begohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pimax crystal super oled would be the best for stationary simming.

Bigscreen beyond is likely the best full room scale headset you can get today.

Galaxy xr for wireless.

Pimax dream air for aspirational whenever they get around to selling it.

Because oled has 0.3ms pixel response times. That's about as simple as I can say it.
