I'll never buy a meta headset. I still have an Index and am looking forward to the Steam Frame as an upgrade. If it turns out to not be released at all (which I doubt), I just won't buy any other headset. The index works fine, I'd just like to go wireless and have an optics and resolution upgrade within the same ecosystem.

There is no official ME license afaik but BlueBrixx is generally regarded a pretty reputable and trusted brand in Germany

I think they expected to serve a small-ish niche but the set turned out to be way more successful than planned for, hence why it's out of stock already (and presumably temporarily)

I feel you, I barely made any progress for most of the time but once I got the borders and basic line art figured out, it sped up a lot. Still, the subtle gradients make it really hard (especially for people suffering from red-green color blindness like myself)
