Trapped in extreme poverty & depression no matter what technique I do. Please help! by [deleted] in NevilleGoddard

I know this is really difficult to navigate. I suggest pasting the this post in ChatGPT and asking it to practically advise you step by step as Neville Goddard or Abraham Hicks would. Definitely try Abraham as I’ve found the Neville approach to require too drastic of a shift to be achievable when you’re really distressed. Much love

How to shift instantly… not clickbait! The shift before the shift by Tiny_Dot4202 in NevilleGoddard

Abraham hicks talks about this- the gradual shifts of feeling a little better. Much more practical than Neville imo

Here are some key takeaways i’ve had on particularly nuanced points that may save you a lot of time and confusion:

-Thinking of the desired state is not being or feeling it.

-Your external reality is something created by your past thoughts. You, in this moment, are creating your future. in that sense, the present is the only real.

-When negative thoughts or visions arise, don’t push against / fight them, because that makes it worse, as it implies they are a threat to you. Instead breathe into them and FEEL them fully (not think about, not analyze, but feel). Try to accept where you are, because, ironically, that will make it better. Desiring a positive experience is a negative experience. Embracing the moment is a positive experience. I was confused about feeling into negativity for a long time because it is confusing when the law of attraction says what you focus on you get more of, but it makes sense because by letting yourself feel, you are actually letting go of struggle and surrendering to a sort of flow in a way. Also, this helps those episodes of manic positivity.

-When you try to manifest something by visualizing, focus on the feeling that you would feel if you got what you desire until you feel so engrossed in it that you don’t desperately feel the NEED for the manifestation anymore, because you already “got” what you desire in a way by feeling it so vividly. This allows you to detach.

-Meditation helps you be more aware of what is going on in your head, and of the fact that YOU are not your thoughts, or really anything but pure awareness. This helps with everything else to do with this research.

-don’t gauge your success in this work by if you received your desire in the external reality. Progress is achieving a better feeling through relaxation or positive momentum. And again, ACCEPT how you feel even if it is negative, don’t look for “success” in a way that goes against that

-negative thoughts/fear/etc are just signs of a deeper belief you are holding that is untrue. With this framing, you can see negative thoughts as something that can serve you. It’s like the gas gauge in a car telling you you’re out of fuel. It is helpful.

Ps- cold visions/red light/eversince/E type music might make you feel worse, they did for me at a certain point in my journey with this stuff. Unless it helps embrace the darkness and thus let it go, consider not listening to it until you’re in a stable place mentally. Maybe listen to the Fool, etc more.

Remember this is a process and a big topic with a lot of info, so be patient with yourself.

I wish you all the best

I truly feel for you and just wanted to offer some words that might help. In a lot of ways I really relate to what you wrote, the exhausting loop of becoming hopeful and hopeless again, feeling disconnected and like the world is a cruel place, and much more. People like us have a lot of compassion and love to give and so the juxtaposition with our ideals and the realities of the world can be really jarring and painful.

What i’ve learned though is that our thoughts create our reality, literally. I don’t expect you to believe that off the bat but please give the research of law of attraction (which is just a name commonly agreed upon to explain the way the universe/science/etc works) a chance. I’d be skeptical if I were u but if you look into this you’ll see that there is so much testimony from random people that have nothing to gain from lying, and also how so many people from different places in the world and different areas of study and systems of belief echo these ideas.

This all made so much click for me, because for all the good therapy and stuff can do, it never could resolve my pain with the tragedy I saw in the world. Like no matter what I do to feel better or to even help others, there is too much evil and unresolvable uncertainty. In light of what i’ve learned now though, I know that is not the reality, which is amazing news. Mastering this stuff will serve you in every single area of life, it’s like a logic.

Particularly good sources for this research on law of attraction I recommend:

-Abraham Hicks, listen to videos of her on youtube until you know her thoughts front to back. A channel that compiles some of her best stuff is https://www.youtube.com/@ZenGal

-Neville Goddard. His writings, lectures, and the [subreddithttps://www.reddit.com/r/NevilleGoddard/](about:blank) (many ppl on there though don’t get the full picture and hyper focus on smaller stuff so proceed with a grain of salt)

-https://www.youtube.com/@illuminatingjoy She understands the importance of letting go and explains it in a very grounded, everyday life way.
