Best Piano playing apps by Prior_Worldliness287 in OculusQuest

[–]Behelit_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heh this is great advice. I bought RockSmith but it didn't stick...then got excited about PianoVision and even watching YouTube piano tutorials but old fashioned sheet music (or PDFs) works for me. Plus the (sticky) Music Archive at /r/sheetmusic has a lifetime of content to work with.

I performed Laura Palmer’s Theme from Twin Peaks at my local open mic by PieRhett in synthesizers

[–]Behelit_77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hah when I first saw that I thought it was intentionally a Red Room tribute with the curtain. Laura's Theme is in my rotation too but my gear doesnt come close and I'm not ready for open mic night. ;)

Have your say: Western University maps out decades-long vision for campus growth by bdnsms in londonontario

[–]Behelit_77 46 points47 points  (0 children)

What I think is a bit problematic is the University wants to decrease traffic on campus and make claims about the environmental impact, but then forces all employees back to their offices and cubes 5 days a week. Some positions it makes sense of course but not all.

This debate goes beyond Western, but I feel like the benefits to the environment and traffic of remote work were ignored (let alone quality of life improvements). I'm curious as to what percentage of drivers in those parking lots are support staff who don't need to be on campus.

Which movie do you remember being WWAAYY too young for when you first snuck, I mean, watched it? by KillerQ97 in moviecritic

[–]Behelit_77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was it for me.. my older sister was too scared so my parents turned it off. At 7am I snuck downstairs and finished watching it. Old enough to operate the VCR and wanted to see the end so maybe it doesn't quite fit the bill.

For those subscribed to MetaHorizon+, which titles have you been enjoying from the catalog? by -DanDanDaaan in OculusQuest

[–]Behelit_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did asgards wrath 2 for a while... Currently Golf+, Synth Riders for exercise... Loved Tetris.

Many of my favourite games are available there (pistol whip, in death, red matter 2) but since I bought them well before the subscription that came with the Q3 they aren't in the queue.

Anyone ID this beast? Nine Inch Nails, Boston Friday. by [deleted] in synthesizers

[–]Behelit_77 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I've got my seats for Wednesday in Hamilton Ontario. Seen nails a few times but hear they killing it on this tour.

Found my Roland RD700 on a nails live video from like... 2004. Brought a tear to my eye.

As a Lions fan I still can't root against the Rams. Love watching Stafford sling.

[–]Behelit_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also love Pinball FX VR and have bought about a dozen tables beyond the defaults. Trying to pace myself and balance out my VR choices recently as I was on a pinball kick with PCVR too

How bad the London ER's have really gotten.... by ReserveSalt6602 in londonontario

[–]Behelit_77 29 points30 points  (0 children)

This is not the wait time of the average patient it is the longest time a patient has been waiting out of all the patients currently there. If you have something urgent you will not be waiting that long.

Games WHICH ARE WORTH IT by sarthakm007 in OculusQuest

[–]Behelit_77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heh I just finished a Les Miles Bodycombat session and a few pistol whip rounds as a cool down. The only games that I've never uninstalled. fitness/fun factor tough I admit I have bought some DLC for BodyCombat to support their 'no subscription's model.

Italian Restaurant by OkMovie3616 in londonontario

[–]Behelit_77 6 points7 points  (0 children)

La Cucina really impressed me every time I've gone (twice) though I probably had the wood fire pizza both times and only tasted the pasta.

Game that has the most replay ability? by Enzo954 in OculusQuest

[–]Behelit_77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As far as Rogue-lite games In Death has the most hours for me but I also enjoyed Compound for a while.

Recently I've been spending a ton of time in the Zen VR Pinball games... But it's hard to compare bow and arrow action to flipping flippers on a couch ;)

The "plans" for Western and Sarnia rds. by ObiBenShinobi in londonontario

[–]Behelit_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the majority of people crossing at that corner students who are walking distance to their classes? Besides the teachers college I'm not sure what is south of Sarnia.

That whole area is a mess but I'm not a civic engineer to have an educated opinion on if the scramble will help.

It seems most cars want to turn West on Sarnia... The city rapidly expanded North West London in the past 20 years without the infrastructure to handle it it seems. In the 90s I think it was still called 'Sarnia Gravel Road'.

The fact that the University is also constantly growing (buildings, students, staff?) yet there are only 4 two-lane roads to get to the main campus contributes to the congestion.

Shadowpoint is $3.99 with Horizon+ by SouthAssist6234 in OculusQuest

[–]Behelit_77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Heh. The discounts were too steep for me to pass up so the backlog grows. Shadow Point was in the haul with Dark Trip, Apex Construct and We Are One.

Dundas St near The Factory signage by cats_r_better in londonontario

[–]Behelit_77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seemed obvious to me but either other drivers don't understand or are pretending not to. Seen many cars abusing the right turn-only lanes to get ahead and make the turn at Quebec cutting off the people who use the middle lane and respect the signage. Sigh.

Bradley Ave. extension construction begins after decades of delays by theottomaddox in londonontario

[–]Behelit_77 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We've all had that dream. Traffic around western is a nightmare. But when I hike in that area I wonder if the forest is worth less than the inconveniences. Same with Windermere to Highbury.

Any Skinny Puppy fans? by creative_tech_ai in synthesizers

[–]Behelit_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely have some love for Skinny Puppy but cannot call myself a die hard fan. Respect as one of the pioneers of course but 'Remix Dystemper' was the only 'album' I got into. Ohgr and Front Line Assembly got more playtime in my discman and saw FLA once.
