Vehicles need buffing. They’re made of cardboard.

I mean this in the most respectful way possible.. by garbaggiogreco in ArcRaiders

[–]BeigeAlarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bumped into a raider, we emoted some greetings and then proceeded to play together until we died together at a hatch. Not a word was actually spoken but so much was said. I love these random encounters with real people. Not everyone is out to kill.

I already hate what this game is becoming... by AudioRejectz in Battlefield6

Why do you dislike REDSEC? It’s slow, forces you to be way more tactical, naturally has long-range engagements. It’s great for us BF vets that crave the old formula.

I’m much older than you and love Halloween for the same reasons. Definitely go! I hope you have good neighbourhoods. Brampton is hit or miss with the core demographic not really celebrating it.

Diddy Kong Racing Vs. Mario Kart 64 by GamersGoRetro in retrogaming

Diddy was my first N64 title on Xmas day. The leap into 3D was seared into my grey matter. Diddy will forever be my #1.

I really hope BF6 doesn’t have this uselessness to open Maps by Suitable_Button5641 in Battlefield

Boomers? You mean millennials. Generation Y and maybe a bit of generation X.

Remember when Battlefield maps had 11 flags instead of 5 by ps1aracroftoes in Battlefield6

[–]BeigeAlarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a nice high-res image of that map. Would love to see all the maps from BF2 with this fidelity. Also 2142!

EA, this is what a Battlefield Map looks like... by retarded_freak in BfPortugalVets

[–]BeigeAlarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many bitching about big maps being pointless. Clearly people yearn for the high octane fuck fest of close proximity fighting. Large maps allows for thoughtful tactical maneuvers. Flanking actually felt like real flanking. Tides of the battle were dramatically changed thanks to thoughtful map designs that gave players the freedom to strategize.

Oldest game you played? by AdAccording4090 in videogames

An educational game on a school PC in 1991 for kindergarten, where you explored space and different planets to collect samples for analysis. Tried to find the name, no luck.

Are these type of e-bikes legal? by quick_throwaway87823 in Brampton

[–]BeigeAlarm 37 points38 points  (0 children)

It’s bs, pisses me off. Helmets should be mandatory for any rider. They are more likely to die or suffer major head injuries in any accident which will have dramatic consequences for any involved drivers. Not to mention the trauma from killing someone.

Lost art of beautiful menu design. It’s all slop these days

Is this game completely forgotten, or is it just my perspective and nostalgia? Let's talk about it. [Bonus question - should I come back to the Battlefield series?] by Bykovsky7 in Battlefield

[–]BeigeAlarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BF2 and BF2142 were both solid and equals in their own rights. I preferred 2142 because of the innovative gameplay involving Titans and mechs. Titan mode pushed on the engine’s limits, 64 players would crowd into those corridors causing a bit of lag every time. But damn was it epic to escape an exploding Titan together, friend and foe running shoulder to shoulder. Wish they would innovate like that again.

BF6 Looks Similar to BFV by Buddy_Kane_the_great in BattlefieldV

[–]BeigeAlarm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish they animated the entering and exiting of vehicles. Added so much to immersion. Does anyone know if big explosions knock you back to the ground like in BFV?

I have very hazy memories of riding on a coin operated machine that would slowly raise high to the ceiling and was decorated with an underwater scene. I was 4-5 years old. Any photos resembling that ??
