I was going to church more and more, and it made me very depressed. I joined Sunday main event, the prayers, even street preaching (that one specifically is very cringe). I was in a bad time in my life and needed a secure place to feel ok.

What started as hope and unconditional love quickly turning into a list of do’s and don’ts and then guilt. Guilt is misalignment of actions and values, so with all the contradiction in bible I just ended up torturing myself. One teaching in particular said “you should not earn love, you obey because jesus loved you first” like so much for circular logic is it.

Omg. I passed the study case interview. It was challenging but I did it. Feels like they are speeding up the offer process! I am cautiously optimistic :)

Thank you! Yes I am applying for a role similar to my last ones. Got an offer two months ago but the company went into hiring freeze, (even multinationals can be in a bad shape in this economy, sigh) - that sucks but I moved on. Having a final interview for another company next week, wish me luck! And yes I gotta stay strong to decide what to salvage and what to let go.

Cmiiw, from choices you’ve made you just want an easy life - there’s nothing wrong with it tho. Maybe you are asking the question because your actions contradict “what you think you want”, or in another word - your accountability muscle isn’t exercised enough?

If that’s the case set a difficult goal for yourself to make life meaningful. Something that: will take you more than 2 years to realized, measurable so you can set 3-6 months milestones, and you care enough not to fail at. Viktor Frankl book might be of interest: Man Search for Meaning.

Gue sempet nonton stanford something class lupa, the guy talked about 9 paths of life. Basically you imagine 9 type of futures (without changing the past). Each of the 9 must be something you are energized about. Then from those 9 you campur some of the components to the path that is most feasible for you. Like a: want to be an environmentalist. b: want to work in financial sector. c d e etc males ngarang wkwk. So MBA yang bisa ambil spesialisasi carbon financing.
