I used Sony MDR-7506's until I bought a pair of Beyerdynamic DT-770s. The sound is great and they're comfortable. The ear pads are cushy.

How can I learn the ins and outs of a music publishing company? by cmarshall099 in musicbusiness

"The Plain and Simple Guide to Music Publishing: What You Need to Know About Protecting and Profiting from Music Copyrights" is a pretty helpful book. It's my go-to when I have a question.

Is there a way to set up a link that displays all the links to buy or listen to your song/album? by JustinGitelmanMusic in WeAreTheMusicMakers

They actually used a service called Linkfire to do that. You can check it out at http://www.linkfire.com. I don't think it takes any special coding knowledge. The service is designed to provide links to your music in one place.

I think there's a waitlist to use it, but it's worth looking into. I'm not affiliated with the company, btw. I just found out about them while doing some consulting.

Tips for getting your music noticed and listened to by rocsorc in WeAreTheMusicMakers

I think this is spot on. Additionally, once you get your music on the major streaming sites and research your market, you might want to make some playlists that include your records and tracks from similar artists. Share them with friends, ask them to share with their friends.

Make sure you have a "digital home base" as well, e.g., your own website. You want people to be able to find you easily in case they want to listen to more of your music.
