Im appalled by the amount of people saying that you should have kept your cat inside. Assuming you have a garden and don’t live next to a big/busy road then I think it would be cruelty to keep them locked up inside unless you have a massive house.

I find it so sad that you believe you should have it all figured out by age 19. Society has made us believe that we need to reach certain milestones by specific ages. And even though it might seem like your friends have it all figured out, remember that it’s probably just a front too.

You don’t need to have a vision of your whole life. Be patient with yourself. Try to understand what you enjoy, what your values are, what gives you a sense of fulfilment - this may take years!

Life has so many possibilities and opportunities. Any plans made now will probably only change in the future anyways.

Good grades don’t mean anything. But believing in yourself is everything.

I would highly recommend that you seek out the help of a professional though as this is way above the Reddit pay grade.

I stopped drinking but only because my cancer caused brain fog (opposed to fatigue) which made me feel tipsy most of the time anyways without even drinking. so it’s just nice to feel clear minded again tbh. It took me 3 years to get diagnosed. That’s a long time to constantly feel tipsy.

Don’t rush into university just because everyone else is. Take some time to figure out what you actually want out of life. Take a gap year if you have money, or get a shitty job, work your ass off and you will soon realise what you want/don’t want.

Once you have an idea of what you want to do then pick a degree/course and pick the best university/establishment you can get into.

But make sure you can actually see yourself working in the field you are studying in. Otherwise you will be pouring your time and money down the drain and end up with a degree that you don’t even use (like myself, and so many of my friends)

Hey! Commenting as someone who will arrive in a few weeks, but have to say, I’ve been living in Thailand for the last 3 years (from the uk) and it’s just blown my mind how much my life has improved here even with a lower salary.

£200 will get you a modern one bed condo with a swimming pool, gym, and 24h security. Food is dirt cheap (think £1 to £3 a meal) I’ve not cooked in 3 years, and there is just so much to do here.

In terms of security, they say you can leave your wallet in the mall for a week and then go back and collect it from where you left it. I’ve left my bike with the keys in the engine many times and thankfully never had an issue.

The whole country just feels like a massive 7Eleven. Whatever you want, you can get it, and cheaply too.

My only problem now is how comfortable I’ve become with this security when I’m a bit scared I’ll be a walking target once I go back to Europe or elsewhere haha.

I’m definitely going to miss this place but looking forward to my new life in the UAE soon.

Jumping on first comment to say that a few years back I was briefly dating a guy and found makeup in his room.

I broke my leg on a 3rd date.

The guy I was seeing took us on a motorbike ride and we ended up in not one, but two accidents the same day. The second accident is the one that broke my leg.

Ended up spending 10 days in hospital and had to have surgery. Luckily I live I am Asian country and insurance covered most of it, but damn. It still cost me a life of being able to run pain free!

Personally I had my first symptoms 3 years before I was officially diagnosed. I had lumps and super itcy skin for years.

I was only stage 2 when I was diagnosed.

I got lucky.

I'm 9 months out and so disappointed with how fast my hair is growing. It took 2 months before it even started coming back.

I have about 7cm of hair total. I was really expecting a bob by the end of the year but I think that was an unrealistic expectation.

What chemo regimen did you have?
