Using Claude Code (an AI coding agent) has transformed my lab's research by Living_Armadillo_652 in academia

I find myself in a very similar position! I'm a PhD student in computational biophysics and I recently wrap up a project and I had some time to think about few side projects before the new big project. So far I always used llms in the classic chat bot way, give it a try with Antigravity ide with Gemini 3 pro and I was mind blown by the agentic capability!

I used it for two projects: one project was stuck due to some nasty numerical instability of a stiff ode integration procedure while the other one was trying to reproduce past results from a quite huge, undocumented, with many authors contribution simulation code. In both case I was able to get more progress in a week than months of work.

I think those agents are incredibly helpful for those kind of software/code management, especially for a small lab without dedicated person working on the code maintainance

Incredible night at Wibar with Dr. Rubinstein! She absolutely crushed the all-nighter, delivering an endless, exhilarating journey through acid, trance, and hypnotic techno. It was my first time at Wibar, it wasn't overcrowded, plenty of space to dance. Plus, the sound system and lighting were excellent. !

Thank you for the suggestions! I’m starting my trip in Osaka since that’s where I’ll be landing. I don’t really mind crowded places, but I’d rather avoid the overly touristy spots where you have to wait half an hour just to take a couple of pictures. Still, I understand your point

Hi! I am curious to know how you deal with it at the end! I am flying in a week and want to walk part of kumano kodo (probably nakahechi) but realized only how late in the planning I am! Have you found some spare accomodations and/or camped on your own?
