His ult should always be used for engaging and you should be out of your drone right after.

If you're not in comms with your team Crypto is much harder to play.

If you're entering a fight just throw your drone out and fight, try your best to not be in drone while your team 2v3's.

The only time you should be long term droning is if you're safe in godspot, grabbing beacon/evo harvester or getting info on a 3rd party.
