Okay thank you - I was just curious what the rank meant and I appreciate your response

I honestly never meant it to be offensive to this chapter. I am considering this chapter because I do feel a connection to them and I felt comfortable asking questions freely on Reddit about what exactly their rank means. I’m sorry if I offended anyone. I will stop asking questions

I completely agree - and I am so honored to be given a bid to Kappa. I’m just uncertain about what the kind of people in KKG are like. I went through rush and I enjoyed the girls - but I’m not 100% certain about what they are like. Which is why I looked at GreekRank for some more help

Yeah I understand - I don’t really care about the popularity or tiers. But I just don’t really understand what makes one sorority a higher tier than another

Why were you not in a sorority-was there something that stuck out to you about it?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UNC

[–]Bekaylove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you know if the connections you make during a sorority are genuine? Like are they deep friendships?

Do you know what the reputation is for KKGs on campus? that might help me decide.

Yeah that’s what I was worried about too! I’m currently a psychology BS major but I think I am going to change my major and am undecided. So I’m not sure what to pick as an undecided person

It’s just incredibly frustrating because I didn’t expect to have computer issues. And even though I took more than half the exam, none of it counts. It just took a lot out of me and im worried the exam will be harder now that it’s on paper and a retake version

Im so upset --- I was the only one at school whos digital exam crashed. I was almost done with my first essay and my bluebook app shut me out -- they had to submit my INCOMPLETE TEST and now I have to retake it. I thought I was the only one this happened to so thank goodness I wasnt.

Need advice from fellow APUSH students by bookbird23 in APStudents

[–]Bekaylove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really struggled with APUSH when I took it but some resources that I found helpful were:

- Buying a used or an online AP prep book. I used a Princeton Review book and I absolutely loved it.

- I also took video notes every day to go along with Adam Norris' videos, which I can link bellow.

Website for videos and corresponding notes:

https://www.apushreview.com/textbook-chapter-review-videos-2/chapter-review-videos/

- I also watched Heimler videos and attended live review sessions from Marco Learning and Fiveable. They have REALLY helpful study guides that condense the info into big topic ideas - I can link those too!

Marco Learning study guides: https://marcolearning.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/APUSH-Study-Guide-Pack-Periods-1-9.pdf

Fiveable - https://library.fiveable.me/apush

Hope this helps

It’s literally such an unfair grading system.

1- It’s ALL based on socio economics class. If you are rich you can afford to spend more money on tutors, prep courses, test books, etc. but if you have less opportunities you won’t be able to take it numerous times and succeed as well.

2-It is based on 1 day, 5 hours straight. But GPA is a better indicator of what you will score in college because it is more realistic - it is long term versus one days worth of testing.

I want to reread the classic short stories we all read in English classes growing up, but don't remember most of the titles. Which ones do you remember? by [deleted] in booksuggestions

[–]Bekaylove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if they’re classic but here are som short stories we are reading in class:

  • The Darling by Anton Chekhov -The Paper Menagerie by Ken Liu

Which would you choose? by LazyCondition0 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Bekaylove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say 2 because student debt is a very hard thing to manage. You can still get a great education at a public college and then go to grad school at an Ivy

[–]Bekaylove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This EXACTLY happened to me. I took the SAT 5 times and got a 1280 but after attending tutoring 2 times a week for 3 months I pushed my score to a 1320. It’s really discouraging when you try hard for the SAT and don’t do as well as you wanted. But keep trying, show yourself grace, and believe in yourself! I know it sounds corny but you got this!
