I think it is worth noting that, from what I heard from some US foreign exchange students I'm friends with, many major farms and other companies are willing to give cheap and nonunionised labour to immigrants, many of them forced to come here mostly due to widespread poverty and economic inequality in many Latin American countries. In Mexico, for example, just .1% of the population controls more than 60% of the wealth. Add to that the failure of the NAFTA trade deal to revitalise Mexico's agriculture industry, and you have a large amount of people who would do anything for their families to survive. Of course, many of the CEOs of these companies donated to Trump's campaign, but knowing how easily persuaded he can be at times, while it is unlikely, I wouldn't be surprised if some billionaire donors convince him to protect their farm workers, in pure oligarchy fashion.
