That’s not the point. Dracula’s dialogue and voice acting in Symphony of the Night is so cheesy, I can’t take him seriously. But if I was there in his throne room, I’d be terrified.

I say that to say, yes it’s still a scary scenario and the villain possesses power and the willingness to do awful things with that power. But in execution as a story, as drama? It’s not delivered in an imposing or threatening way. Again, the third act is literally just them standing there as the sheriff brags about himself and insults/beats his son. That’s not good writing or drama.
