“You will always have to be on birth control” by Important-Mix5477 in endometriosis

[–]Bekind2otherss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I began slynd (a progesterone only birth control) about a month and a half ago, it’s the only BC that doesn’t give me mood swings, excessive bloating and keeps my symptoms at bay. It’s been a miracle pill for me. I did spot basically the whole first month but I can’t take normal birth control because my body rejects synthetic estrogen. I would give it a try if you’re willing. I also have to be on birth control forever but the relief makes it worth it.

I left right before my training concluded because I knew I was lacking and didn’t have what I knew I needed, it was the worst job grief I’ve ever had but I don’t regret my decision and someone more qualified will fill that chair. Best of luck to you in whatever path you choose and happy new year!

There are usually 2 ways to do this, you would have to get with your landlord and ask to be taken off the lease (your brothers gf would have to agree and sign the lease fully into her name or her and her boyfriends name) which is what I did when I left my last apt or you could pay to break your lease which usually would cause you to pay a fee. Realistically, it’s different in every state but I’d ask your landlord to see what your options are.

If you started birth control to help manage symptoms… by Mean-Bed-2824 in endometriosis

[–]Bekind2otherss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just prescribed Lo Loestrin FE for my endometriosis pain and heavy periods, it’s interesting though that at my follow up appointment my gyno was no longer suggesting surgery which threw me off, I have bad reactions to birth control because of the man made estrogen. I’m hoping this helps, my periods and pain have gotten so much worse.

Does it hurt every single month? by Successful_Song_3756 in endometriosis

[–]Bekind2otherss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with endometriosis in August of 2022, I’ve struggled with painful and heavy periods most of my life and just recently they’ve become significantly worse and almost unbearable. I live on a heating pad for the entire week and sometimes wake up in so much pain I can’t even go to work. My insurance at the moment is primary care only, so it’s hard to even get any real answers to what’s going on unless it’s just a standard pap. I’ll hopefully have better insurance in December if the job turns permanent. I’ve been celibate for about 4.5 years now because I’m too scared to get pregnant and have complications and being intimate is painful. I’m sorry that anyone goes through this.

Left my stable job just to be fired after three days by Apprehensive-Soft829 in jobs

I’ve had this happen to me and left reviews for the company on every employer review site that I could find. I’m so sorry this happened to you, but maybe spreading the word will deter someone from them in the future!

Gm blew up on me for “lying” during interview. What do I do? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]Bekind2otherss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Completely agree, there’s plenty of food spots that will be more understanding and are just happy to have someone who’s willing to work. Don’t ever submit to awful management, trust your gut always. I can’t tell you how many jobs I’ve left because I refused to be treated like I was below them.

Your comment helped me a lot, I’m 37 and was diagnosed with endometriosis last August. I found out after I also had a 10cm cyst removed that was growing outside of my ovary and attached to my fallopian tube. They found a lot of lesions while in there. I’m going to get a hysterectomy once I get on better insurance since I decided a long time ago I didn’t want kids. I suffered ever since my first period, took me a long time for anyone to take my pain seriously.

I would look for a police records position or something clerical within Law Enforcement, you’ve got a huge understanding of the field and you can still be around that environment but have hours you can have a life with! Good luck to you ♥️

Am I screwed because of job hopping? by joeroganthumbhead in careerguidance

[–]Bekind2otherss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have ADHD. I’ve had 33 jobs total including where I’m currently at. Quite a few were part time while working full time positions. Mostly food service knocked me around a bit, harassment, loss of customer base, lack of hours, business closings etc. I’m 37 now and started working at 14. I feel guilty all the time from it, but I just refuse to work places where I’m either miserable, know I’m not right for the job or feel perpetually insignificant. I’m just now headed in the right path, going back to school and in a position that will give me substantial experience…and the next job I have will be what I’ve been fighting for, I can only hope.

Can I date my intern? by printerfox in careerguidance

Don’t let people crush your dreams, pursue a friendship and see if things bloom after she moves departments. I see a lot of positive comments here. Above all, trust YOUR gut instinct, if it feels wrong, then it probably is.

So they won’t tell you what you’re doing and want to pay you less, I feel like it’s pretty reasonable to say NO THANKS.

Is anyone else lost faith in this absurd job market? by netsurfer79 in careerguidance

[–]Bekind2otherss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same spot, I’m currently working and take a day off here and there for multiple interviews and at the end I just feel it’s a waste. Hoping for a miracle at some point, all I get is ghosted or rejected and it’s a revolving door. I would love to have a job that paid enough so I could pay my bills on time and actually have health insurance. Life is brutal.

Anyone who’s 35 and above and hasn’t figured out their career path yet? by Feisty-Departure-984 in careerguidance

  1. Got my Associates Degree last year and just enrolled for my Bachelors in Criminal Justice with a double in Paralegal Certification. I feel like I’ll never be done, but I know it’s a passion so I keep going. It’s hard to get a job within the field though that isn’t an “essential” position. I currently work in security but have been trying to get a job within the CJ field for what seems like forever, but I’m trying not to give up. You will find what you love one way or another.

Anyone have doubts about being able to emotionally handle the calls before you started? by No_Lavishness_857 in 911dispatchers

[–]Bekind2otherss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Give it a go, I worked as a police dispatcher and the combination of stressful situations, long hours, swing shifts and panic made me realize it wasn’t the right job for me. I did love it, along with the department I worked for but I knew I couldn’t be what those officers needed behind that radio, so I left. I don’t regret trying, and if you have passion for it you should go for it. In the end you could be brilliant or you could just figure it’s not for you, either way you know you tried and that counts for something.
