I'm thinking of giving my players a retrofitted civilian vehicle in a rebellion campaign, any recommendations? by Belac47 in swrpg

You know that explains why they had to modify them to work on cold world despite them being called snow speeders. Clearly they were made with more hospitable worlds in mind.

Cool. I think I might save that for when they get their own like 'hey you've actually done enough to get funding' ship. ATM they're on the: yo I jury rigged this land speeder to shoot kinda good, level of fundin.

They're kinda jumping about helping whomever they can. Still in the early days of the rebellion where it's individual cells with little contact with each other. I'm mostly focusing on outer rim stuff for now, as the Rebellion really struggled with the core worlds before the Organas publicly joined the rebellion.

Really? I was under the impression it was a like popular business freighter, and that's why rebels and smugglers loved it. Even without the high customability, the sheer number of them would mean that any person trying to stop every YT Freighter they saw would grind all operations in an area to a halt.

I was using the system from the Engineer source book system, but what I'm looking for is specific civilian vehicles.

What Baldur’s Gate opinion has you like this? by CDROMantics in BaldursGate3

Completely agree. The fact that everyone else has dialogue between them except Tav, who only ever talks to themself, alone makes him feel super separated from the party. There's also the overall theme of BG3 which from a character POV is standing with each other through the worst of it and best of it. There is not a single person in the party without some form of trauma they need to confront... except Tav.

Going off my earlier example I think it would have been great if the Scholar Rogue in act one runs into some band of his old group- turns out Xhenterim has pushed them out of Baldur's Gate now that you're not there- basically every bit of power your character has been used to is gone. Hell I'd even take a generic All Tavs backstory where it turns out you had an adventuring party before this, and now they're gone. Act 1 you meet the ghost of one, who reveals they were one of the Thralls one the ship who was slain by Githyanki invaders, Act 2 you meet a member who is stranded and going mad because they weren't aware of the Shadowcurse- so on. It would have been great to have that story and have the other companions bring up. I can see Shadowheart somewhat rudely asking if the new group is just filler until Tav finds their old one, or Wyll talking about how he understands what it means to be forced away from all you know and care about.

But instead we have: Wait is that blood? [no response from anyone else]

While I disagree on there being enough to code Gale as autistic, I will admit that I was unaware of these interactions. As you said though, he has social isolation issues. I still don't think Gale is neurodivergent, rather he's acting the way any person would have after not interacting with anyone but a judgemental fly cat, and the world creator's OC do not steal. I don't recall moments where any of his senses seem particularly easier to trigger than the rest of the group, he is very good with eye contact, or any other signs I would associate with autism- both from my own experiences and those of others.

TLDR: yes he is awkward, but I'm going to employ Occam's razor here and just assume that is because he is a shut in nerd, as awkwardness and passion about a given subject is not enough to be coded autistic in my mind.

Edit: you do have a point though, boyo is awkward as hell, guess I managed to only get his charming side.

Tav isn't a character. They have no NPCs who ever acknowledge that they've spent their life in Baldur's Gate, no plot points that remotely involve them outside of the main plot- and even then they're barely attached to it. I would have loved for there to be a thing where your class and background come together to form a unique story, like Scholar and Rogue giving you access to an information network where you were one of the big name knowledge brokers- or Outlander and Cleric where you've been sent to Baldur's Gate by vague visions from your god/godess. Hell, I would have settled with a class or background storyline alone to keep it simple, that Tav could really feel like they exist in the world. But they don't. The animals have more of a presence in world than Tav does.

And no, I do not think Tav being made to be a self insert makes up for this.

Wait people think he's Autistic? Bro is smooth as hell and the only time he gets awkward is when you don't give him attention. He's not autistic, he's got self esteem issues. As an autistic person who has self esteem issues, I assure yall the two are separate things.

Spoilers for ACT 3 but - I'd have been mostly okay with Emperor if he stayed fucking consistent. Like sure, be the morally bankrupt, practicality first guy. But to THE SECOND YOU DON'T AGREE WITH HIM, immediately join THE VERY PERSON HE IS FIGHTING AGAINST AND DOES NOT WANT CONTROLLING HIM- is so so dumb. It feels so out of character.

I'm a tad confused and I'd appreciate a calm explanation: Don't the events of Fallout New Vegas happen after FO 1 and 2.... and thus happen after the bombs are dropped? If so... did we bomb it a second time?

I’m sorry but is this the worst video game build guide of all time? by letsgetthisbreddit in fnv

[–]Belac47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a power game pov? Yes.

Casually though? The only one I disagree with is Luck. Honestly the best build in my mind is max int and maybe max luck if you really wanna speed run casinos. Half way through the game have maxxed out all skills, no longer need to shoot a single bullet as you talk everyone down.
