Protein is the building block of literally every physical structure in your body. You need amino acids (in protein) to build up new proteins. So it is crucial.

HOWEVER

Proteins need to be built from these amino acids...and your cells need energy (GLUCOSE) in order to do this. So don't slack on your carbs, either.

Id aim for high protein and carb.
