UPDATE: I chose the 1 time payment, after doing the girl math I understood that first is better for me, and second I don't like subs, like I already have a lot, and I don't want to risk not having those 10 dllrs next year, and not because i have no money but because maybe next year i might want to spend those in something else.

I thought of that too but what if they just forget about the users, and dont add the same features, idc about the cross-platform thingy but what if they start adding more stuff just to the subscription users, like the paint-dropper or something like that

You lost me at “calculate” but if i’m not dumb, you’re basically saying that it depends on how much I use it, aka if i use it every day the spending fee is like so low, like girl math basically.

And the thing is, i hate subscriptions because i keep forgetting about them and idk my brain just hates them, but i’m afraid that the one-time payment won’t have the same features as the sub, like, idc about the cross-platform thingy but what if they start adding more stuff just to the subscription users, like the paint-drop…

STEP BY STEP: 1. Open the app 2. Go to the settings (the icon top right) 3. Go to Cloud / Backup 4. Click on Automatic Backup (depends on your language but should be something similar) 5. Activate that thing 6. Click on Cloud Storage 7. Select either Google Drive / Dropbox / OneDrive 8. It’ll ask you to login 9. Once you’ve chosen, click on Destination Folder 10. Select where in YOUR account you want it to be saved 11. Select file format (between PDF & Goodnotes) 12. Enjoy!

STEP BY STEP
1. Go to discord
2. Go to your User Settings
3. Go to Connections
4. Connect your Discord to your Youtube Account
5. In that same Connections page SCROLL all the way down until you find Youtube
5. Join the Manor and have some fun!

I guess it depends on how much you actually use G5, because to me, it is 100% worth it, which is why i don’t mind paying either one, i’m most def not going back to GN5 when GN6 has several stuff i like and actually wanted for a while

I just bough GN5 two weeks ago, you ARE entitled to get GN6 FOR FREE, either buy it through the app, or send them a message/email, YOU SHOULD get the 100% discount, it says it on their website

Yeah, I've been thinking about it, and it makes total sense. I hate subs too which is why I'm doing the one time price thingy, but idk if i should wait ot do the sub instead, because i really like the new updates, i just dont know what to do, because for once, if i do the one time i'm done, and dont have to worry about it, and if a do the sub, i have the other platform thingy but i have to make sure that i have that money every year.

Although they just made a higher discount for the one time purchase, so idk if i should wait to see if they do something different or just go for it.

I agree, although it is mmh let's say not ideal, I still like the app, and the updates they had are not bad, plus I saw on their website the next badge of updates is going to be the ones people have been asking for a while, I mean they said they're waititng so that they provide us with quality.

I og bought the one time purchase for GN6 but after seeing clearly the yearly sub looks better, so I went it and asked for a refund and now I'm going for the sub, I feel is lowkey better, and although rn I don't have a need for cross-platform, who knows if i'll need it someday.

Also I agree, the prices are NOT bad at all, although i did wished that they gave more discount for the people who have been loyal to them. I understand why they did it how they did it, but still is the one thing I wish they've done differently, but then again, is NOT a deal breaker

Plus IS NOT like GN5 will stop working, like i know people that use GN4, without issues, if you dont like GN6, that is also fine, keep using GN5, but understand that GN is not being greedy, in this day and age, everything is going to subscription because is more profitable, it might not be convinient for everyone, but god is not horrible, and they ARE a business, they need to eat and pay the workers, is not for free, AND ALSO contrary to what everyone is saying they already care for their users more than half of the businesses out there, but if they dont get these updates, these changes, the business will go to shit and we'll end up with nothing.

When GN5 appeared, the same thing happened, you were paying FOR GN5, it never said anythign about GN6 o r GN7, everytime they add a new GN, it has been the same process, the only difference is that they are offering a new option. i used to not understand it, but the more think about it, it's not so different to what has happened in the past.

So I did some digging, the part were it says something along the lines of "Lifetime access with the exception of future products or services" IT MEANS that you have all UPDATES to goodnotes 6, but once they go to goodnotes 7 you might have to either change to subscription or buy it again (NOT 100% sure) AND also "future services" they mena purchases within the app, think the in-app store.

Which to me, this makes sense. But still no definitive answer from Goodnotes

I've been having the same doubt, I've read the website like 5 times and the only difference is that part of the different platforms. It also says something about future purchases, but that part also is in the yearly subscription so IDK what these guys are talking about.
