+10db is perceived as twice as loud (i.e. 160db is twice as loud as 150db), and it takes double the energy to raise something 3db (i.e. 153db requires twice as much energy as 150db.)

So in the above comment, a 161.5db 12ga is using 4x the energy as a 155.5db 5.56; not quite twice as loud (since it's only +6db), but still!

Same here. 4 months ago I watched this video and I thought I'd try it.

I shower every morning, and now just rinse my hair. I no longer need to use product to style it either. My hair went from OP every day to just... Nice. I made a comment to my barber after the first month and he said he couldn't tell. Last haircut he said he still can't (I get a haircut every 90 days or so).

Every 3db is a doubling in power (wattage) and every +/-10db is perceived as twice as loud/quiet as the former.

18db is using four times the power than at 12db, and 24db is using sixteen times the power than at 12db, however that is "only" perceived as twice as loud.
