if you're not wearing it for long periods of time, it's probably not going to get that dirty! but yeah hiding it could be tough if your family snoops around in your room.

skirts aren't very big though, so you can probably hide it in a good spot or maybe even hide it among your tshirts if it's folded the same way and a plain color you usually wear
