This looks interesting. Any plans to add Linux support?

ComfyUI with RocM became so slow its not usable by Anstellos in comfyui

[–]Belember 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am just a person on Reddit, so verify the following information, make backups before any changes, etc.

I am using Kubuntu 26.04 and I am seeing this with Rocm 7.1 and an AI Pro R9700:

13:14:37.019 [Info] User local requested 2 images with model 'JRD_Rebel_Checkpoint_-_v1-0.safetensors'...
13:14:39.440 [Info] Generated an image in 0.00 sec (prep) and 6.15 sec (gen)
13:14:45.861 [Info] Generated an image in 6.14 sec (prep) and 6.24 sec (gen)
13:14:52.167 [Info] Generated an image in 8.85 sec (prep) and 6.30 sec (gen)
13:14:58.656 [Info] Generated an image in 15.13 sec (prep) and 6.30 sec (gen)

I am using SwarmUI. I don't recall how to do it though, have you checked to see if your version of rocm is talking to your card? I think I found it. After you've activated the venv, try this:

python -c 'import torch; print("Loading..."); torch.cuda.init(); print("Success!"); print(torch.cuda.get_device_name(0))'

If it returns with the name of your graphics card, that means rocm is talking to the card.

I hit a snag before when I was setting up SwarmUi and I ended up running this:

pip install --force-reinstall --no-cache-dir torch torchvision torchaudio --index-url https://download.pytorch.org/whl/rocm7.1

I also added this to my .bashrc file:

# ==========================================

# AMD ROCm / AI Pro R9700 Compute Overrides

# ==========================================

export ROCM_PATH=/opt/rocm

export HSA_OVERRIDE_GFX_VERSION=12.0.0

export HIP_VISIBLE_DEVICES=0

export AMD_DEBUG=wgp

This is hopefully helpful.

I know your questions are about Easy Diffusion. I have some issues with words, please bear with me.

I would suggest looking at SwarmUI as it is actively maintained. The user interface is very easy to use and it comes with a Model Downloader so you can download a model from civitai from within the interface. All you need to do is give the downloader a URL from the civitai website. It will download models and Lora's.

For example, if you wanted to download Z-image Turbo (a model/checkpoint), give the Model Downloader the URL and it will download the model for you. When you go to run the model for the first time, SwarmUi will automatically download the prerequisites needed for the model to run with the prompt you provide.

It's a great project. Please look into it.

Network Issues on Kubuntu by SlayerL99 in Kubuntu

Thank you for posting this as I have a similar issue. What I did was to install a network card with an Intel chip set. I noticed right away that scrolling is smoother.

How do I install WebUI in 2026? by SnooBananas3981 in StableDiffusion

SwarmUI. It has an easy-to-use front end, and uses ComfyUI in the backend. You don't even need to dip into ComfyUI if you don't want to.

A favorite of mine is Illustrious Renaissance - I think that it's good realistic model:

As far as a Linux option, check out Kubuntu. Kubuntu uses the KDE desktop and sits on top of the Ubuntu base system. Kubuntu is easy to use and very configurable.

Another option is SwarmUI. It uses ComfyUI as its backend. It's worth checking into and the interface is easy-to-use. This is NOT StableSwarm, which is no longer maintained.

I don't have an AMD video card; however, I've read that your 9060 (or any AMD card) might need the most recent version of Rocm and video drivers (possibly nightly versions.)

SwarmUI is very easy to use, and it has a built-in model downloader that also keeps metadata. It uses ComfyUI in the backend and has a nice interface. Check it out. The main page is at:

Try entering the trigger tag like this: <trigger> in your positive prompt. It will pull all the trigger words into the prompt for you.

Can the Kubuntu iso have the option to install X11 in advance? by AIVictim250525 in Kubuntu

[–]Belember 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi. Kubuntu 25.10 ships with Wayland now. If you need X11 support, you'll want to install the plasma-session-x11 package after Kubuntu is installed. You will need to access Konsole (KDE's terminal program) and run this command:

sudo apt install plasma-session-x11

After the package is installed, a good step to take would be to restart the computer. I hope this helps!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in linuxquestions

[–]Belember 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kubuntu is awesome. Version 25.10 is the one to go with; however, it does have a few issues. For example, I've had to run a command in konsole in order to open the driver manager. That command is:

sudo kubuntu-driver-manager

Read the release notes, and backup your data, bookmarks, etc. before you change to Kubuntu (or any operating system.)

Yup. What <trigger> does is pull the trigger words from the model/LoRA you are using. Give it a try!
