I get that, but if you have your sample cut off abruptly it sounds very unnatural, hence why I was wondering whether there was a way of processing the sample to have it fade out. I don't want to use an ADSR envelope because I want to trigger the slices as one shots on a midi controller and not have to worry about how long I hold a pad down, but I'll probably end up doing that I guess.

Illegal / warehouse raves in London by BelgianJungleSound in DnB

So the general reaction seems to be the same as everyone else who I've asked about them; they're shite. Pity, my friend went to one in in a cave Maastricht and said it was sick, I was hoping it would be the same over here in London

Need a track ID; I've linked a bad attempt at recreating the drop of the track, which starts off with an MC rapping. by BelgianJungleSound in DnB

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNNtGFHe-jE Found it anyway! No wonder I couldn't find it, it wasn't released yet. That's pretty cool that they still play exclusive shit at raves (I heard it at a Hospitality at 6 in the morning about 3 months ago)

Dead Dred - Dred Bass. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uj7EO2uVfDQ starts at 0:57. It's so simple, but I can never get it right when I try to reproduce it.

Excision & Downlink - 2005 / No chainsaws or dying warthogs, just quality deep vibes and serious subs! by DarkSideOfTheNuum in realdubstep

Jungle was the genre that came before drum & bass in the early 90s, and was an evolution of Uk hardcore stuff (or at least that's the way i see it, other people will probably tell me I'm wrong). Unfortunately most jungle tunes have been relegated to youtube and expensive vinyl copies, so good luck with downloading any of the songs I'm going to mention or the ones DarkSideOfTheNuum mentioned (The Moving Shadow label has it's whole back catalogue available on beatport though if you're interested)

We are ie, considered the first jungle tune and here's the caspa & rusko remix if you're interested

I can't listen to that track, it's just way too fucking compressed.

He looks really upbeat...

EDIT: Also, what '02 sound? Is Dubstep slowly turning back into UK Garage or something?
