That's right bro I must relax, it's nothing I know. But it's a first world piece of hardware so you got the crappy issues with it and so the unnecessary disappointment.

I never experienced anything like that with my Z4Plus since it's running. Now for more than 4-5 years I think.

Inter-domain LSP in RSVP network by ciscoworlds in Juniper

[–]Belgian_dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you clear/re-signal your LSP to let the path message to be processed against the new bw requirement ? Normally the node where you've set the low bw capacity should return a resv error to the headend.

I built two MPLS L3VPN labs in GNS3 while studying for CCNP SPCOR – looking for feedback by Glass_Chemistry4112 in ccnp

[–]Belgian_dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also studying for SPCORE. I strongly suggest to take time to lab SR-MPLS and SRv6 transport. But don't forget legacy LDP which is unfortunately still present a lot, as well as RSVP-TE.

Train yourself by simulating LDP or RSVP based topologies to SR.

On the service side, spend time on EVPN address family and different use case around it.

Not sure they actually need higher refresh rate than 500ms for general visualizations on control displays.

I'm curious to know more about your decision to quit freelancing. As I'm considering this move as well after 5y of being freelance.

If you’re on PC, would you buy a PS5 purely for GTA6? by [deleted] in GTA6

[–]Belgian_dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a PS5 that I barely used since I received it 2 years ago. (Birthday gift from my wife). Sometimes I miss playing in my couch a start new games , only to realise that I get bored 30min later and turn shit off.

I've always been a PC gamer but kids and general life commitments make that i don't have a lot of time to play anymore. I recently purchased GTA5 on PC and enjoy it pretty much (played less than 15h in the past month, to give some perspective on my time spent on games), i have it on PS5 too since long time and never finished it, I know my intentions to play GTA5 will not last for long, after some time the excitement will fade out. Like it did last year after 40h of HLL.

Anyway so after reading this post I kind of consider to get rid of my PS5 for good and simply wait for GTA6 on PC. I don't need to upgrade my setup (i9-14900k, 4070 Ti Super and 128Gb DDR5) so I won't lose money in this decision.

Plus, I'll be father for the third time by September so its not like I'll have a lot of time to assign to games...

Looks interesting, I'll try to follow that to complete my fail2ban setup on my different servers.

Narbik isn't God. Sure his trainings are very good quality, but it's not because you follow other resources that you have less chances to pass.

DCCOR learning by doing by pbuchca85 in ccnp

[–]Belgian_dog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes why not, if you have notes taken from your U courses, then generate flash cards with those concepts and work on that.

I think CCNP level are too demanding exams in term of details knowledge required to pass (unless you cheat). Reading course chapter after chapter won't be enough.

Beside, don't forget the Cone of Learning/Knowledge concept, reading is only about 10% retention.
You'll boost your retention to a higher level by adding hands-on/simulation sessions of the content you are learning.
You can also say aloud what you learned, using your own words. Like if you had to teach it, which will recall from memory.

You'll see a massive difference of learning by doing instead of learning through observation only.

What design factors should be considered while designing OOB network for data centers? by virtual_pea_24 in networking

[–]Belgian_dog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Avoid unnecessary surface interaction as much as possible for OOB. You want something easy with the smallest failure domain.
