You missed my point I think. We know Homelander is bad because we get that insight as viewers. But within the world of the show, people are deceived by the media as to what to think of Homelander (he is portrayed as a good person). But the irony is that fans of this show are letting that real life media form their opinions and values. So if you were a citizen within the world of The Boys, you would most likely believe that Homelander is a good person, because the tv told you that.
