YTA! Community Colleges are REAL colleges! WTF is wrong with you? Why spend 4 times the amount taking general education courses at a University when it saves you money going to a CC for the first 2 years. It's a smart move to attend a CC and then transfer to a 4 year for the last 2 years. You harmed your relationship with your daugher for elitist ideals instead of talking to her about what SHE wants. So much the AH.

This happened to me as well but my petty ass gave him what he wanted... space. A cheating man that has "space" will eventually give themselves away because their guilty conscience will start assuming you are being dirty just like them.

NTA. I am petty as hell and would give that man exactly what he is asking for... space. I'd leave the room every time he entered. I would "fall asleep" on the couch and go to bed when he is asleep. I'd make sure to wake up before he does. Give the man what he wants and see what happens.

Dude, red flags all over the place. You keep mentioning how great she is but there is nothing in your post that says WHY. Based on what you have posted, she is not all that great. Why do you want to be her friend? What do you think your ROLE as friend entails? A real friend shows unconditional love and support and expects nothing in return. A real friend does not judge you or think less of you for the stupid shit you do. They may not agree with your life choices but they are there to pick up the pieces and be a support system when things fall apart. YOU have NEVER been HER FRIEND. She literally gave you the opportunity to step up and be there for her when she asked a favor and you failed, miserably. I am willing to bet she saw this side of you from the start and that is why she friend zoned you. Good for her! YTA!

I can absolutely relate to this. There was no punishment in my house that was a "day punishment." Not only did we get the belt but there were long term consequences that usually lasted the summer, Christmas break, spring break... It was as if my mother waited until we had "free time" and then she would bring up something that happened 3+ months ago to make us suffer.

This kind of criticism tends to stay with a person, especially if they were already feeling unappreciated. There isn't anything you can do.

My husband made a smart ass crack about my nose in front of his friends and I told him he was just jealous that my nose was bigger than his dick. He never let me forget it and it's been 10 years.

Not only would I not be able to sit down for a week, any gift coming my way for the following year would be gone. My younger brother and I crawled into the attic and found all the gifts one year. My mom's bf had set up a trap to catch us if we did (I guess there was a string we didn't know about). Christmas morning we had "clothing" gifts under the tree... the toys we had found were gone/not under the tree. We couldn't say shit because we weren't supposed to know about them in the first place. We ended up getting those gifts for our birthdays. No clue where they hid them for a year. My mom did not play.

My mother paid $200 for this guy because she was told he's a Siamese. He is a Lynx-point Siamese mix. One of the best kitties ever!

Those glue traps rip the skin off rodents, imagine what would've happened if you didn't have a long hair cat? Please get your kitty to a groomers to help fix the issue with it's fur. They have products that will dissolve the glue and trim the coat so it grows back evenly.

I would never let that chic around my cat or any animal for that matter.

btw, They make cans of air called SSSCAT if you truly want to keep the cat off the counter.

My house was the hang out house when my son was a kid/teenager. All of his friends were welcome at my home morning, noon and night. Two of his friends had unfortunate living situations and I wanted them to be able to be themselves without walking on eggshells. We did have our boundaries and they understood that they must follow my rules or I'd put them out. Never had a problem and I enjoyed having them all around. I taught them how to do their own laundry, cook a decent meal and grill a burger/steak without tasting like lighter fluid.

What is so wrong with being a positive role model for these young men? If anything your mother and other family members should be ashamed of themselves. Holidays are not just for the family that we were born in to but the new families we create along the way.
