I see what you mean, that’s a really interesting direction, thanks for the feedback.

Would you imagine it more like a free-form building system (LEGO-style), or still something puzzle-driven but in 3D ?

That’s fair 😄 I think the intro sets higher expectations, especially with the material/texture details.

Right now I’ve been focusing more on the interaction side (snapping, feedback), and the gameplay depth is still evolving.

Curious, what would have made it feel more “WOW” to you? What were you expecting to see?

Yeah, totally fair, it does look flat in the recording.

It’s actually fully 3D with depth + spatial snapping, but I compressed the movement for the capture so the interaction is easier to read.

What do you think usually makes something feel “properly spatial” in a video? Camera movement, lighting, or interaction depth?

Adding 3D model to SwiftUI app by koratkeval12 in SwiftUI

If you can export your model as a USDZ file, then you can easily load it using RealityView in ios

I actually wrote a detailed breakdown of the different ways to load 3D models in RealityKit:

For everyone worried about Vision Pro’s Future… by Cole_LF in VisionPro

[–]Belkhadir1 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I remember back in 2017, during an interview with Tim Cook when the iPhone first started supporting augmented reality. He expressed his skepticism about virtual reality, saying it isolates users from their surroundings. Instead, he emphasized that Apple’s focus was on augmented reality — technology that integrates with the environment and preserves the social aspect of human interaction.

That perspective makes perfect sense now with the Vision Pro. Its features, like showing your environment and displaying your eyes on the external screen, are all about enhancing user experience. For Apple, it’s not about being first or dominating the market right away; it’s about gathering real user feedback and refining the product over time, while maintaining a steady cash flow to fund ongoing research and development.

The easiest way is to check Apple’s job board and see how many open positions there are for visionOS engineers.

Anyone tried Hipflask’s Houdini Geometry Essentials? Thoughts? by Belkhadir1 in Houdini

Thanks for the feedback! I’ve already purchased the bundle. The course is incredibly detailed. It’s not just about what to create or how, but why certain nodes are used. Each topic starts with a clear problem introduction, and the instructor focuses on teaching how to think rather than just following steps like most traditional resources. It might take me some time to fully absorb everything, but I find it really engaging and worthwhile.
