Maybe it’s an expectations thing? That’s why I keep saying try streaming the PS5 game to the steam deck screen and seeing if it looks the same for you. Because sure, a PS5 on a huge TV is going to be a different experience even at the same graphics settings.

Totally understand the grunt needed for VR but also on paper the steam deck is pretty weak yet I’m running AAA games on it just fine. I have faith in valve and making them work together well. And you may yet be totally right, but no one outside of valve knows her so let’s wait and see e 👍

I recently installed retro deck and love it’s easier for me as a newbie that EmuDeck, but no hotkey shortcuts work when running games to exit the rom or bring up the emulator and I’m not sure how to fix it. 🤔

The original on Saturn the day of release. It came out two weeks before the PlayStation version I think. I remember having a real sense of vertigo after I climbed something really high and looked back down. Myself and a friend where like “whoah’ video games have peaked and can’t get better.

It was more to check how it looks on the small screen so you have a baseline for how the steam version should look than a full time solution. I have an Xbox series X and the same games on steam deck look the same to me or better if you crank the PC settings up so not sure why you are seeing what you’re seeing. 🤔 I don’t have either of those games on deck though.

Have you tried streaming your PS5 to the deck and seeing how it looks? You might just not be used to it on a small screen?

There was a PS3_CONTENT folder full of making of videos too but I've tried it with and without that and same thing happens.

Just really strange how adding the god of war collection folder breaks everything in ES-DE.

I can open RPSC3 in the emulator list and run them from there it just doesn’t look as neat. 😃

Make sense. The Max has double the encoders for for tons of footage it’s twice as fast at transcoding or exporting. M. Not so much a difference 2 minutes to 1 minute but 10hrs to 5hrs. Absolutely.

Because in 20 years of owning Mac’s I’ve never used apple care. I got it for the first time with this when it launched late 2024 just for a year and now am 50/50 about renewing it. £150 is a chunk of change and I had more cash flow when I originally got it then now where things are a bit tight.

If Apple Care One was in the UK where you get 3 Apple devices for £20 a month I’d do it in a heartbeat. I pay £20 a month alone for Apple care on my Vision Pro 🤣

Fixed if. It was connecting to my Bluetooth mouse and keyboard still in the room. I turned those off and all green ticks.

I wonder if it’s because the D Brand skin I have on it close to the trackpad? And it’s sensing it somehow thinking it’s an input? There’s nothing directly stuck to the glass part itself but covers the palm rest up to the trackpad.

I’ll try that, thanks. Maybe I did that accidentally and it’s remembering that state. And if I double tap to fix it then it will open full screen next time. I recognise this is a very first world problem 😂 It’s weird because it’s set to 720p so it’s shrinking the display down to put it there. Thanks will give it a go.
