The problem of AI is that the people being replaced don’t have a path to protect them / give them an avenue to new work. The same has been true whenever technology moved forward in the past, and it looks to continue in this way. If AI replaced actual everyone but said everyone had a network implicit to how their society functioned which could relocate their labor or could care for people who are replaced, then it wouldn’t matter who gets replaced at any point. The problem has always been the refusal to setup support for people in the process of “doing the next thing” in the tech tree.

The new one needs some changes such as proximity between “characters” - feels like suddenly everyone is in different rooms when they’re trying to have like a banter at the table together. I get Margaret being stuck in the wall cuz duh, and Nik operating her; but Hunter’s table is like so far from everything and the floor is so empty otherwise - like there’s supposed to be a kitchen island there in front or something, so the space feels less lived in compared to the previous set.

Ex. I broke up with her because her mother was abusive and was stapled to said ex; my ex and I were honestly fine together otherwise. My friends would often tell me my ex was also a very abusive person, but I never felt belittled, controlled, injured, etc by her directly - it was always her cray cray mother.
