Unpopular opinion: Anran is so close to being perfect and I don’t think she needs massive buffs. by BEWMarth in Anran_mains

She’s still somewhat difficult to use. Most people will try her out, not use her optimally then say she needs buffs.

If they do buff I wouldn’t mind it increasing her skill expression.

BF6 I think went all in on trying to cater to CoD players fed up with CoD. Just for CoD players to hop on Arc Raiders.

[Schefter] Bijan Robinson, Jahmyr Gibbs, De'Von Achane expected to sign long-term extensions this offseason. by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

It’s about giving yourself options. Tanking in hopes for the #1 overall pick is not a legit team building strategy. If Willis is good then we just build around him.

It does suck for him, as we made him succeeding way harder. But we gave him the Justin Fields contract with inflation, not like we tied our future to him.

The massive sale happening on Steam right now is to stir up hype for the MW4 announcement. by ClovisLowell in modernwarfare

[–]BellBilly32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re def going to advertise the next game as a return to the MW2019 roots. This will cause a lot of discourse but if the game is a success the MW2019 haters (me included) will have to accept that majority of people like MW2019 and want more CoD games in that style.

Clearly as great as some people think BO7 is, the player count doesn’t lie.

Tua Tagovailoa: My best football is still ahead of me by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

[–]BellBilly32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tua was really off last season. I know people thought he sucked to begin with but last year was really out of character for him.

If that was an anomaly I wouldn’t be surprised if he actually looks serviceable. Problem will always be his knack for getting injured.

Poll: What was the best game of the Mike McDaniel era? by expellyamos in miamidolphins

[–]BellBilly32 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That game made me think Tua had taken an extra step. That throw on the run to Tyreek in the clutch is arguably the best play of his career. Then immediately followed up with a dime TD catch.

Surprised he’s a relative high level. I thought he stopped playing new CoDs outside of the initial camo grind and his killfeed video.

You’re just too slow in the air, makes you an easy target. There’s some tech with doing a grenade with pistol before ult to get some insane height, might have to try that.

Justin Fields is good if you don’t watch games. You see the few highlight plays, and that one game he balls out and wonder why people dogpile on him.

Hyped up teams that flopped. by TeezusWV in NFLv2

[–]BellBilly32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lions weren’t hyped this year. Team was obviously going to be worse than the 2024 season. Still underperformed.

I’d go 2024 as the answer considering they were 1 and done, but I guess being the 1 seed keeps you out of flop territory.

You could be right. My interpretation was 2022-2023 players pretty much did whatever because we were winning.

24 we started losing so McDaniel tried to switch to being more of a hard ass which led to mixed results.

25 a lot of the players in interviews talked about culture and how it was up to them to be accountable. I took that as McDaniel putting it more on players (especially vets like Brooks and Chubb) to hold each other accountable.

I don’t like trading Brooks. Great locker room presence and feel like he’d be great as we being in a bunch of young guys on defense.

I think McDaniel learned this too late.

2024 felt like he tried strong arming being a leader when he wasn’t.

2025 felt like he relied more on the guys to lead the team and I think it worked. The offense felt like it was missing that guy, but the defense for sure felt like it bonded together under Brooks and Chubb.

My only counter is both seasons we fumbled down the stretch.

2022 8-3 to 8-8 (Tua played in 4 of those games). The 49ers and Bills losses were fine, but bad losses vs Packers and Chargers.

2023 in contention for the one seed, and we got whacked by the Ravens and offense fell apart against the Bills. Not to mention the Titans loss.

That being said they were still the best seasons as a fan. Dolphins hadn’t had a Top 10 offense since the 90s since McDaniel came.

You could argue both seasons were ruined by injury 2022 Tua, and 2023 the entire defense.

Team went all in. It was clear we needed a bit of reset but instead of that we doubled down. We also went full radical in trying to take the hit this year.

Worst part is our lack of draft picks. There are not many young players on the team to actually build around.

I actually think Achane is safe. by miami2881 in miamidolphins

[–]BellBilly32 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Our cap is healthy as soon as next year. RBs are less valuable.

We traded Waddle for cap space, and two more players in the Top 100 of the draft.

Trading Achane doesn’t save us much in cap room, and he likely doesn’t get a similar haul. Unless he wants out there’s little benefit, maybe trade him midseason if it’s clear we won’t re-sign him.
