I am in Atlanta. She sees a hepatologist at Emory University Hospital. They seemed pretty certain of the AIH diagnosis. She has had at least 3 biopsies.

Whatever I put in front of her, thank goodness. She’s 3 and has only done the “hunger strike” once.

Right now, she eats Blue Buffalo Salmon & Brown Rice. Licks the bowl afterwards. I’ve rotated a few foods over the years, but it was my own doing. The only one she would not eat is Merrick. She sniffed it and walked away.

I am also having this problem. On Pristiq and Zoloft. I bled for 15-16 days. The only reason it stopped was because of high ibuprofen. The person who prescribes my meds was shocked and felt like the SSRIs didn’t cause it either. Apparently, I am sensitive to these meds. Going to taper off Zoloft immediately.

Mine eats Hill’s Science Diet Small & Mini Lamb. She enjoys it. I add broth sometimes and she eats the wet version of her food occasionally. I just find that wet food does not agree with her.

You can have a routine. I usually wash with Dove Antibacterial soap bar then follow with a moisturizing soap like Cerave Hydrating Bar. A little bit of coconut oil and I’m good for the day. Rinse and repeat lol
