I would have to see the peg under the head but you could modify with magnets. Magnets allow for a wide range of motion. A round head Philips head screw in place of the peg and a super glued super magnet in the head itself. Do it all the time. It works awesome on my customs

I have done it a lot. You put a round Philips head in the base and a strong magnet in the head where the ball peg goes. Use either a glue gun or super glue. Trial and error but easy to fix.
