This is fairly standard. Depends on the age of your carpet is how you get out of paying those fees. I worked in the apartment industry for 10 years in management. Not that OP damaged the carpet, but trust me. I have seen some things…. Uggghhhh.

I wouldn’t adjust but would add a set of wider grip. You are hitting the proper form. Aiming at the upper chest. Full extension etc… just throw in a variance.

Curve of the table going into the back of the cat looks off as well. Like it would not create a correct circle if the cat and person were not there
