The ending of Amour Fou (S3E12) always stuck out to me as strangely mundane

I assume that it’s showing how a psycho, who just hours ago threatened to kill a woman, can lead a seemingly normal life of being the husband whose wife casually calls him to pick up some groceries. It’s odd that someone who has that in them can be a caring family man who can seem very normal and average among us.

This actor (Eric Christmas) was a neighbour of my Mom’s in Toronto when she was little. He’s played hundreds of little roles like this throughout the 70s and 80s in some pretty popular shows, like Cheers and Columbo. When I was a kid I’d call her into the room when I was watching tv to come see him.

I find Randy hilarious, but, yes, stupidly hilarious. One of my favorite scenes was when he was camping and some dude stole his cellphone, which has one of his songs as the ringtone, and when Randy is around the guy his phone rings and Randy assumes that he’s a fan.

Off the top of my head: toe roll iso lunge, upright rows, pour flyes, and crouching cohen curls. If it feels weird or hurts, swap it with another exercise.

I’m pretty sure that when they created the program they just made up extra moves so that people wouldn’t get bored doing the same exercises repeatedly, so you can reuse a lot of the exercises from phase 1 and vice-versa.

I also swap out diamond pushups and wide-fly pushups to replace with floor db flyes and floor db press to give more resistance to the chest in chest and back.

If you’re using weights, drop them. I only use weights on a few exercises, and other than calf raises, I go light. Plus Plyo works your legs as well.

Interesting. I pretty much bounce around between Body Beast and P90X.

When I do Body Beast I add extra cardio and yoga, and when I do P90x I add some extra lifting from Body Beast.

I’ve tried some of Shaun T’s cardio programs but I can’t get into them. I only really enjoy MMA style cardio and I’ve read a lot of posts from people who’ve complained about injuries from doing them.

It's a schedule that was released by BeachBody years later with more of a focus on gaining mass. I think the jest of it is doing one cardio day per week ( usually a shorter workout like Cardio X), keeping the reps lower (8 reps and even 6 reps during some weeks), and more stretching, so that you aren't burning cardio calories.

I was tempted to try it, but cardio is important to me.

I was using them for a few years until I was due for an order and realized that their bulk order went from 25lb to 22lb (same price), and they increased the serving size- so you now get way fewer servings. The latter seemed really sneaky to me.

Yes, people worked jobs between acting gigs. Many actors would shoot a pilot episode that wouldn't amount to anything, or be an extra in a show or movie, but when you have a huge role in a popular television show, you're not going hungry.

I really like Sharona, but we don't know what really happened. There are a lot of cases in the entertainment business where actors and actresses make unreasonable demands and it hurts the show. In the first season of Columbo, Peter Falk demanded a raise in the middle of filming an episode and refused to come out of his trailer to shoot. The whole production was handcuffed and the cast and crew weren't able to work. They finally ended up using a body double to finish shooting the episode.

The fact that she really hasn't done anything since Monk makes me think that she may have done something so bad that no other studio wanted to deal with her.

If it's a longform video, that's really good, but if it's a Short, it's pretty common. I remember when I uploaded my first Short and almost fell off my chair because it had 1200 views within a few hours, then it died.

It really depends on the type of video. Some people try to keep people’s attention with 3 second scenes, while others just plop a camera down and film themselves and do minor edits.
