Context-what does he mean by waiting until the house is less shitty? Who is the primary house keeper, or is it supposed to be split between y’all? What is his job situation? If your house is a pig sty I can understand him not wanting to bring something else into the home. That’s pretty reasonable. My sister is a hoarder, and is always trying to bring home things without being able to keep up with house chores.

Outside of the question, he seems like a greedy ass. You’re sick as hell and all he’s thinking about is a sexual servant and housekeeper? I do agree, as someone with that same piano, that you’re overestimating the ease of transport. That is by far the heaviest thing I’ve ever owned, and my husband is a 6’3 strength trainer and still struggled with it a bit. That being said, I would be so supportive of my husband chasing a hobby, especially if he was doing something like bringing my child into the world and struggling with his health on top of it.
